Head of Technology / CTO

Softsich is a young and ambitious international product tech company that develops scalable B2B digital platforms. We’re on the lookout for an experienced Head of Technology who’s ready to grow with us and shape high-load, data-driven solutions used by international partners.

This role is about more than just managing engineering teams. You will define the technical vision, build scalable architecture, and ensure the reliability and security of complex distributed systems. Working closely with product leadership and engineering teams, you will guide technical strategy and help transform ambitious ideas into stable, high-performing platforms.

Your key responsibilities will include:

— Responsible for technical solutions, vision and roadmap for company projects
— Own the platform architecture and direction of technical department
— Contribute to company policies and make sure they are correctly implemented within the technology teams
— Standardize, implement, and enforce software development processes Scrum/Kanban, TDD, CI/CD, QA etc.
— Ensure team growth and motivation, including career progression and organizational structure; resolve internal team conflicts and ensure team transparency
— Deliver industry best standards of product stability and reliability and drive the technical vision to achieve product SLA
— Ensure the quality and correctness of developed software
— Be an effective communicator with other Business Units in the group as well as with 3rd party providers and clients
— Provide relevant technical/business issues and reports to the management
— Ensure all regulatory requirements are met and compliance procedures are followed
— Represent the technical teams and communicate technical challenges and opportunities to business management
— Communication with customers, present or potential, on the technical aspects
— Where necessary, get hands-on and assist the development and operations teams with addressing technical challenges or diagnosing operational incidents
— Manage incident responses and root cause analysis for major outages or breaches
— Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
— Oversee cybersecurity measures, ensuring systems and data remain secure

It’s a match if you have:

— 8+ years of experience in software engineering in building and scaling complex platforms
— 3+ years of experience in an architecture leadership role or as a CTO
— Strong experience with Java or Node.js backend development and microservice architectures
— Solid understanding of modern frontend architecture, particularly React-based applications
— Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS or Azure
— Proven experience designing and operating high-load distributed systems with strong reliability and performance requirements
— Strong understanding of system architecture, API design, and integration patterns
— Experience implementing observability practices (monitoring, logging, tracing) and improving system reliability
— Experience working with DevOps practices and infrastructure (IaC)
— Ability to lead architecture discussions, technical decision-making, and engineering standards across multiple teams
— Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with CIO, product leadership, and engineering teams
