Character Design and Rigging (Moho) Offline

We are looking for a skilled Character Designer and Rigger to create original reinterpretations of two iconic characters inspired by Charlie Chaplin–style silent film aesthetics and classic 1930s cartoon characters similar to Betty Boop.
⚠️ Important: Designs must be fully original reinterpretations and not AI-generated. We are looking for handcrafted, artist-driven work with strong personality and animation-ready structure.
🎬 Project Scope
- Create two unique, original character designs inspired by:
- Silent film-era comedic performer archetype
- Vintage 1930s cartoon flapper-style character
- Prepare fully rigged characters in Moho (Anime Studio)
- Deliver production-ready rigs optimized for animation
All base assets and references will be provided as starting material.
🛠 Responsibilities
- Design original character versions while maintaining inspiration from classic archetypes
- Ensure strong silhouettes, expressive poses, and animation-friendly proportions
- Build clean, well-structured Moho rigs
- Set up bone rigging, smart bones, constraints, and facial controls
- Organize layers and naming conventions for smooth animation workflow
✅ Requirements
- Proven experience in 2D character design
- Strong experience rigging characters in Moho
- Solid understanding of animation principles and deformation
- Ability to create clean, non-AI-generated artwork
- Attention to detail and production-ready file organization
⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience with vintage / rubber-hose / classic cartoon styles
- Experience preparing characters for lip-sync and expressive performance
- Background in 2D animation
