Solutions Architect
On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region, Mobilunity is looking for a Solutions Architect
Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to make this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, working on the edge of what current fintech may offer.
Role Overview:
The Solution Architect plays a critical role in defining and executing the organization’s technical strategy across IT infrastructure and software solutions. This position ensures that all technology solutions are scalable, secure, and seamlessly integrated with business processes. Working closely with IT teams, business units, and senior stakeholders, the Solution Architect aligns technology decisions with business objectives, driving innovation, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
This role does not have direct or indirect people management responsibilities and does not carry direct budget ownership but has significant influence on architectural decisions and technology investments.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in solution or systems architecture, with a proven track record of delivering complex IT solutions.
- Strong experience with Java, .Net, React.js.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing cloud-based architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Design & Analysis (≈30%)
- Design and maintain comprehensive solution architectures that support scalable, reliable, and secure applications.
- Evaluate existing systems and propose architectural improvements aligned with business and technical goals.
Stakeholder Engagement (≈20%)
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
-Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring alignment between business objectives and architectural decisions.
Project Oversight (≈20%)
- Oversee the implementation of architectural designs to ensure compliance with approved blueprints and standards.
- Provide guidance and architectural support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Innovation & Technology Strategy (≈15%)
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and adoption of new technologies that deliver measurable business value.
- Contribute to long-term IT strategy and modernization initiatives.
Documentation & Standards (≈15%)
- Establish and maintain architecture documentation, principles, and standards.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and industry best practices.
Independently makes decisions on:
- Architectural designs and solution standards
- Selection of technologies, tools, and frameworks within approved guidelines
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- Background in regulated industries such as banking, fintech, or healthcare.
Advanced certifications such as:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Certified Enterprise Architect
- CISSP or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, IBM)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a rel
