DevOps / Automation Engineer Offline

We are looking for a DevOps / Automation Engineer on behalf of our client from Israel, a technology company specializing in the development of high-performance SMB (Server Message Block) protocol solutions. The company builds low-level infrastructure software that is embedded into products of leading global vendors and enterprise platforms. Their technology is used by hundreds of blue-chip customers worldwide and operates at the core of storage, networking, and file-sharing systems.

 

As a DevOps / Automation Engineer, you will work on automation, CI/CD pipelines, and internal tooling that support complex, low-level software products. You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure reliable delivery, scalable automation, and continuous improvement of DevOps and DevSecOps practices. This role requires a senior engineer who is comfortable working with complex systems, deep integrations, and enterprise-grade tooling.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Design, implement, and maintain automation workflows supporting internal application development

• Build, maintain, and extend CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins scripted pipelines and shared Groovy libraries

• Develop automation and internal tools using Python and Groovy

• Implement and maintain REST API integrations with third-party services such as Google, Atlassian, Slack, and others

• Provide technical support and automation solutions for development and QA teams

• Administer and maintain Jenkins environments and CI infrastructure

• Work with Git-based workflows, build systems, and version control processes

• Maintain and operate automation across Linux and Windows environments

• Continuously improve DevOps, automation, and DevSecOps processes across the organization

 

Qualifications:

 

• 7+ years of professional experience as a DevOps or Automation Engineer

• Strong hands-on experience with Python 3 and Groovy (3+ years)

• Proven experience developing Jenkins scripted pipelines and shared Groovy libraries

• Strong understanding of CI/CD systems and Jenkins administration

• Experience implementing REST API integrations based on technical documentation

• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or similar

• Object-oriented development experience

• Familiarity with Docker

• Strong experience with Git, Bitbucket, and Jira workflows

• Experience working with both Linux and Windows environments

• Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps practices

• Fluent English, written and spoken

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Experience with the Atlassian ecosystem and application development lifecycle

• Familiarity with Atlassian Forge or Connect frameworks

• Experience working with database systems

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry

• Experience with API testing frameworks such as pytest or Robot Framework
