We are looking for a Senior Release Engineer to take ownership of the release lifecycle across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms. Requirements:

• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher (written and spoken).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in release engineering, build/release automation, or DevOps.
• Deep knowledge of cross-platform build, packaging, and deployment (Windows installers, macOS .dmg/.pkg, Linux DEB/RPM).
• Strong scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, or Python.

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for our DevOps Team. Your primary responsibility will be providing day-to-day support for and ensuring the performance of the enterprise-wide Unix System infrastructure and interconnected technologies. What You Will Do…

• Lead and optimize the deployment process across dev, stage, and production environments.
• Architect, implement, and maintain High Availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Our client is a leading global Financial markets data provider that runs many change programs to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high-frequency, and low-latency data management chain.  The projects are technically challenging in a very engaging environment making the most of cutting-edge technologies.
As part of the SDLC, the Real-Time project DevOps Engineer will develop and automate all aspects of application reliability using common industry tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Concourse) and practices increasing wider efficiency, and reducing toil while also improving reliability across all major CSPs.
In this role, the candidate will be expected to be a highly proactive and knowledgeable DevOps Engineer working with product, development, and QA in our effort to continually improve the operability, scalability, security, and cost of every Public Cloud Real-Time application we deploy and manage.

What You Will Be Doing

• Monitoring Infrastructure Health:
  • Utilize Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana and other monitoring tools to continuously monitor the health and performance of our production systems.
  • Configure and maintain monitoring dashboards to provide real-time visibility into system metrics and performance.
  • Incident Detection and Response:
  • Respond promptly to alerts generated by PagerDuty, Prometheus, Alert Manager, and other monitoring tools.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot incidents to determine root causes and implement necessary remediation steps.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve incidents efficiently and minimize impact on business operations.
  • Anomaly Detection and Analysis:
  • Analyze system metrics, logs, and graphs to identify anomalies and potential performance issues.
  • Proactively address anomalies to prevent service disruptions and optimize system performance.
  • Log Management and Analysis:
  • Manage and analyze logs using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to gain insights into system behavior and identify potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain log monitoring and analysis processes to detect and respond to anomalies effectively.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of incident response procedures, system configurations, and monitoring setups.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, incident trends, and resolution actions taken.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance monitoring capabilities, automate repetitive tasks, and improve incident response processes.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent, with hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• 2+ years of experience in leading of DevOps team
• Proficient in containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes, with a track record of managing containerized environments
• Mastery of infrastructure automation using Terraform for cloud resource provisioning
• Profound understanding of configuration management tools, especially Ansible
• Solid grasp of CI/CD concepts and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and their integration with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages for automation purposes
