About Us

We are a Swiss startup building software for evaluating private equity funds and their portfolio companies in the secondary market. The platform ingests financial data from fund reports (partly automated via third-party AI tools), then calculates and manages fund- and company-level metrics.

They’ve recently onboarded their first customers and are now growing their tech team to support further development. The company is fully distributed and founder-led, with a lean, hands-on culture.

Location: Remote (EU or EFTA-based)
Engagement: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: Ideally in December

About the role

We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who can take ownership of both backend and frontend tasks, or focus primarily on backend if preferred. The ideal candidate is structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote startup environment.

Tech Stack

• Backend: Java, Spring Boot
• Frontend: Angular, Angular Material, NgRx
• Database: PostgreSQL
• DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines

• Other: Agile, Git, REST APIs

   

Responsibilities

• Develop new product features across the backend and frontend
• Maintain and improve existing codebase (Java + Angular)
• Work with PostgreSQL for data handling and reporting
• Contribute to architecture and scaling decisions
• Collaborate directly with the founder and small dev team

• Follow structured, self-driven workflows in a distributed team

   

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in full-stack or backend development
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL
• Solid experience with Angular and state management (NgRx)
• Familiar with Docker/Kubernetes and modern CI/CD practices
• Comfortable in a lean, early-stage environment
• EU or EFTA residency required (due to team setup)
• Excellent communication skills in English

• Interest in finance, algorithms, or AI is a plus
