ML Engineer

We’re building AI-driven solutions to analyze high-resolution drone imagery and help insurance companies assess wildfire and natural disaster risks more precisely. This project sits at the intersection of AI, 3D visualization, and geospatial analytics.

 

Responsibilities:
• Fine-tune and benchmark zero-shot object detectors (Grounding-DINO / OV-DINO) and depth estimation models on drone imagery.
• Integrate DSM/DTM layers for precise depth calculations.
• Build reproducible evaluation notebooks and visualizations mapping the model.
• Transition from open-set to closed-set models once annotated pilot data becomes available.
• Handle 2D-to-3D transformations and spatial data alignment.

 

Requirements:
• Solid understanding of computer vision fundamentals (transfer learning, fine-tuning).
• Hands-on experience with Python and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with Git, Jupyter, and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Basic understanding of web technologies (React/Next.js is a plus).
• Experience with Grounding-DINO, Segment Anything Model (SAM), or similar zero-shot detection models.
• Knowledge of depth estimation or 3D reconstruction methods.
• Data visualization skills (Plotly, Three.js, or similar).
