Role Overview
We are seeking a part-time DevOps Engineer to maintain and improve our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The environment is not overly complex, but requires consistent attention, strong security awareness, and a focus on reliability. High availability and fast response times are critical for this role.
 

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize our GCP infrastructure (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, etc.).
• Ensure strong security practices across infrastructure, access control, and data handling.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Support incident response and contribute to reliability improvements.
• Operate within a compliance-aware mindset (HIPAA/GDPR principles).
   

Requirements

• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred).
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation, and monitoring.
• Experience working with sensitive or regulated data (healthcare is a plus).
• High availability: fast response times, reachable when issues arise, proactive monitoring.
• Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity.
   

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with healthcare or telemedicine systems.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, ISO-27001).
