Back-end developer $$$$ Offline

A backend developer at Baltic LEI plays a key role in building and maintaining systems that power our business. You’ll join a small, capable team where everyone contributes to both technical and business decisions. Your Responsibilities

You’ll own your features end-to-end, including:

1. Defining technical requirements with the business and dev teams
2. Implementing features in Laravel (PHP), MongoDB, Elasticsearch
3. Writing automated tests for your code
4. Performing manual testing (there is no dedicated QA)
5. Deploying code to production
6. Monitoring new features after release

You’ll work closely with other developers and the business team for guidance and support. You’ll be working in a modern codebase with minimal legacy code, where quality, clarity, and maintainability matter.

We encourage the use of AI-assisted coding, but without “vibe-coding.” You own your code — its behavior, maintainability, and adherence to our style and architectural conventions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Laravel or Symfony
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn independently and think systematically
• Optimized for delivering business value, not endlessly perfecting code
• Thorough and curious — you aim to deeply understand the problems you solve, not just apply quick fixes
