Senior Cocos Animator $$$$ Offline

A5 Labs is looking for a Senior Cocos Animator to craft engaging, high-quality motion for real-money and social casino games. You’ll design, rig, and assemble animations directly in Cocos Creator, collaborating closely with engineers to deliver smooth, performant gameplay experiences — particularly for poker and card-game features.

 Key Responsibilities

• Create polished, responsive animations for gameplay states (idle, deal, reveal, win/lose, bonus).
• Animate UI motion and feedback elements (pop-ins, counters, progress, jackpots).
• Build and fine-tune particle effects and VFX for wins, streaks, and special events.
• Assemble and configure animations in Cocos Creator (timelines, curves, state machines).
• Optimize assets (atlases, sprite sheets, textures, skeletal rigs) for mobile/web performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Game Design, and UI/UX teams to ensure motion supports gameplay mechanics.
• Provide documentation, specs, and maintain internal motion libraries.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years in game animation or motion design, including 3+ years working with Cocos.
• Proficiency in Cocos Creator (animation clips, state machines, prefabs, events).
• Strong understanding of asset optimization and performance profiling.
• Mastery of animation principles (timing, anticipation, overlap, easing).
• Fluent English communication skills (spoken & written).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Spine, After Effects, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
• Familiarity with TypeScript / JavaScript for animation scripting in Cocos.
• Understanding of casino UX patterns, RTP, and volatility mechanics.
• Mandarin language skills.
