SMM Specialist, Biotech (Artificial Intelligence)
Requirements:
- Understanding of the biotech industry (formal education is a plus, but not mandatory) and related domains.
- Solid grasp of AI automation and the ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value.
- Strong hands-on understanding of LinkedIn, SEO, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook algorithms.
- Proven experience managing LinkedIn — both company pages and founders’ personal brands.
- Deep knowledge of analytics, algorithms, and paid campaigns on LinkedIn, with the ability to scale reach and relevance.
- Fluent written American English — able to communicate in the language of engineers and scientists while staying accessible to a broader audience.
- Ability to read scientific papers or technical documentation, extract key insights, and transform them into engaging, understandable content.
- Experience working in or with outsourcing companies; understanding of product/service teams, dev cycles, and client expectations.
- Strong visual taste: ability to create clean, modern visuals, photos, and short videos (reels/shorts).
- Basic video editing skills: animations, subtitles, trimming, and simple cuts for reels or posts.
- Ability to quickly achieve measurable results (CTR, Views, Avg. View Duration, ER).
- Experience creating and executing content plans; proactive leadership in the content process (not just “posting what’s given”).
- Proficiency with social media analytics, scheduling, and automation tools.
- Familiarity with Notion for reporting (we’ll teach you if needed).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the SMM strategy for blackthorn.ai, focusing on LinkedIn (company page + founder’s personal profile) and, to a lesser extent, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Create and execute content plans: categories, topics, calendars, formats; coordinate production and publishing.
- Produce visual materials: photos, infographics, short videos; perform basic editing (subtitles, trimming, platform adaptations).
- Translate complex scientific or technical materials into accessible posts, thread summaries, carousels, and short videos.
- Launch and optimize paid LinkedIn campaigns; run A/B tests for creatives and messaging.
- Integrate SEO best practices into content (keywords, previews, metadata); optimize for YouTube search and Google visibility.
- Track and analyze performance metrics (CTR, Views, Avg. View Duration, ER, follower growth, leads); provide insights and actionable recommendations.
- Manage online communities: respond to comments, engage in discussions, expand the expert network, and build collaborations.
- Continuously test platform algorithm updates and quickly adapt content tactics.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, scientific, and BD teams to align messaging and priorities.
