Backend Laravel Developer 

Employment Type: Full-Time (Remote) 

Location: Remote Europe time zones; overlap with EEST required

Compensation: Market-competitive (range on request) 

About the Role 

Quanta Tech Systems is an established IT company specializing in cybersecurity and software development. You will build and maintain backend services in Laravel that power secure, high-availability applications. The team also supports licensed financial products within our portfolio; familiarity with these domains is helpful but not required. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, build, and maintain Laravel APIs and services for high-volume workloads. 

• Integrate data stores (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and third-party services securely. 

• Implement testing, code review, and CI/CD practices for reliable releases. 

• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to performance and scalability improvements. 

• Collaborate across engineering and product in an async-friendly environment. 
 

Qualifications 

• 3+ years of backend development with Laravel/PHP. 

• Strong SQL fundamentals; experience with schema design and query tuning. 

• RESTful API design, authentication/authorization patterns. 

• Git workflows and CI/CD familiarity; experience on a major cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure). 

• Clear written and spoken English. 

Preferred Experience 

• Redis or similar caching/queues; Docker-based local dev. 

• Experience in fintech or blockchain environments (nice to have).
