We're hiring a skilled Hardware Integration Engineer to support ECITON — a swarm-capable autonomous drone platform built for edge and GPS-denied environments.
You’ll handle UAV assembly and integration of embedded systems like STM32, Raspberry Pi, IMUs, ESP32, RF/Bluetooth modules, and BMS — ensuring stable, EMI-resilient performance in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble drone platforms (Thunder Tiger or similar) from mechanical and electrical components into
fully operational UAVs.
• Integrate and validate embedded systems: STM32, ESP32, BMS modules, and various sensors.
• Connect and calibrate IMUs, barometers, GPS, RF and Bluetooth modules for high-reliability data
transfer.
• Perform fine-pitch SMD soldering and support custom PCB builds for prototype iterations.
• Route cables, power lines, and shielding to ensure EMI/EMC compliance and EW-resilience.
• Participate in field testing, troubleshoot hardware failures, and iterate designs.
• Collaborate with embedded, autonomy, and software teams to align system-level integration.
Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in UAV or robotics hardware assembly and integration.
• Strong knowledge of STM32 microcontrollers and peripheral communication (UART, SPI, I2C).
• Practical experience with ESP32 and wireless communication (Bluetooth, RF).
• Familiarity with IMU calibration and sensor data validation.
• Skilled in SMD soldering and PCB rework/assembly.
• Experience with battery systems and BMS-based power control.
• Understanding of electrical noise mitigation, grounding, and signal integrity in RF-sensitive environments.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, BOMs, and mechanical layouts.
• Willingness to support in-field testing, rapid prototyping, and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with ArduPilot or PX4-based UAV platforms.
• Background in tactical hardware design or defense-grade robotics.
• Knowledge of thermal management, ruggedization techniques, and conformal coating.
• English level not lower than B1 (Intermediate).
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and collaborative hardware development workflows.
