We’re hiring an IT Operations Manager to run IT for our globally distributed engineering organization. You’ll own day-to-day IT operations, drive automation and modernization of our IT stack, and serve as the hands-on technical owner of SOC 2 Type II maintenance and client security reviews.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years in IT operations or IT security, including 2+ years leading an IT Support team.
• Hands-on experience running day-to-day IT for a distributed/remote workforce: Google Workspace administration, SSO, VPN, endpoint protection.
• Mac fleet management via MDM (Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle, or equivalent) — explicit, hands-on, current.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Operations Leadership (primary focus)

• Run day-to-day IT operations for a remote, globally distributed team - endpoint management, identity and access, device lifecycle, collaboration tooling.
• Own onboarding and offboarding end-to-end: account provisioning, MDM enrollment, access grants, secure de-provisioning.
• Maintain asset inventory, software license hygiene, and vendor relationships.

IT Automation & Modernization

• Identify repetitive IT workflows and automate them — scripts, SSO flows, provisioning integrations, ticket automation.
• Evaluate and adopt tooling that reduces manual IT touch work (MDM, HRIS↔IT sync, compliance automation).
• Improve self-service so the organization solves common IT needs without opening a ticket.

Security Compliance Maintaining

• Maintain Transcenda’s SOC 2 Type II program — evidence collection, control ownership, annual audit prep.
• Keep IT-side security baselines current: endpoint protection, access controls, MDM policies.
• Respond to client security reviews, questionnaires, and due-diligence requests as the primary technical contact.
• Monitor relevant IT security risks and adjust baselines; no expectation to author new frameworks from scratch.

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner with HR on onboarding/offboarding automation and policy enforcement.
• Partner with Legal on contractual security obligations and client review responses.
• Partner with Delivery on client-specific IT setups and access requirements.
• Communicate changes in IT and security posture clearly to the broader organization.

The position is for an IT Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator specializing in Azure Virtual Machine migration. The primary responsibility is to execute a direct lift-and-shift migration of a legacy B2B software platform from Rackspace virtual machines to Azure Virtual Machines. This role focuses on infrastructure, systems administration, and hardware migration rather than software development or cloud-native architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision and configure two Azure Virtual Machines within a Virtual Network (VNet), specifically one Web Server VM and one Database Server VM
• Migrate the web server environment running Windows Server 2012 R2 and a Classic ASP application, including all dependencies and custom software
• Migrate SQL Server 2014 databases, comprising multiple client-specific databases, ensuring full data integrity throughout the process
• Design and implement a data backup and redundancy strategy tailored to Azure VMs, explicitly excluding PaaS or SQL-as-a-Service solutions
• Set up networking components such as VNet, Network Security Groups (NSG), and connectivity between the two Azure VMs
• Validate the full functionality of the application post-migration, with particular attention to session handling due to Classic ASP session variable dependencies

Responsibilities

• Providing user support via chat and remote access, resolving browser and application issues, password resets, and system shutdowns

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience as a IT Specialist or in a similar technical support role

Position Overview

We are expanding our Support and QA teams and seeking a seasoned, remote IT professional/Systems Administrator to serve as a Level 3 Senior Support Engineer for enterprise customers. In this role, you will handle the most complex escalations, support hybrid identity and storage deployments, and ensure seamless integration between on-premises Windows/AD environments and Microsoft cloud services. 

You will combine mastery of Windows identity and Microsoft cloud (Entra ID, Azure Files/Blob, SharePoint, Graph, Intune, SAML) with a strong customer-first mindset—treating every customer issue as our problem to solve.  

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday to Friday 9 AM - 6 PM Pacific time, with flexibility for occasional off-hours support for critical incidents or maintenance windows.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Troubleshooting

• Act as the senior escalation point for complex issues related to Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), ADFS, SMB, Kerberos, NTLM, and Windows identity. 
• Assist IT Administrator customers with installation, configuration, and advanced troubleshooting of MyWorkDrive products in diverse Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure environments. 
• Diagnose and resolve authentication and authorization issues involving Azure Files, Azure Blob, SharePoint, Enterprise Apps, SAML SSO, and Graph API permissions.  
• Understand unique client use cases and challenges to design solutions that ensure compatibility, performance, and security across hybrid environments. 
• Maintain detailed documentation of customer environments, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in helpdesk and knowledge base systems.

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Build and manage test environments using Hyper-V, Azure, and representative customer configurations, including complex AD and Entra ID topologies. 
• Reproduce and isolate defects, perform rigorous QA testing, and file clear bug reports for development, including identity, SSO, and file access scenarios. 
• Validate fixes and new features related to Windows authentication (Kerberos/Interactive Logon), SAML, and Microsoft 365 integrations before general release.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Engage with a global customer base via email, helpdesk, and web meetings (Teams, Zoom) to resolve escalated issues and guide best practices. 
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and sales teams to manage critical support cases, drive continuous product improvements, and assist with pre-sales technical consultations as needed.

Extensive IT Background

• 10+ years of experience deploying and managing software in Windows Server/Active Directory and Azure environments. 
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in computer networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, proxies).

Technical Mastery – Identity & Cloud

• Deep knowledge of Windows client and server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, ADFS, and Windows authentication Kerberos, Delegation, Interactive Logo. 
• Mastery of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including Conditional Access, Enterprise App integrations, SAML/OIDC SSO, and application proxy scenarios.  
• Strong experience with Azure Files, Azure Blob Storage, SharePoint Online, and NTFS/SMB permissions in hybrid file-access architectures. 
• Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting SAML/SSO, including certificate management, claims rules, and federation with third-party IdPs. 
• Practical experience with Microsoft Graph API permissions, app registrations, and consent (delegated and application permissions) for enterprise apps. 
• Familiarity with Intune device management, compliance policies, and their interaction with Entra ID and Conditional Access.

Broader Technical Proficiency

• Experience with firewalls, security, switching, proxy/load balancing, Microsoft SQL, IIS, Office 365, and related enterprise tooling. 
• Familiarity with Android/iOS mobile devices, Azure File Storage, Active Directory Trusts, NTFS file sharing, Hyper-V, and SAML/SSO.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
• CompTIA, MCSE or related Microsoft certification (e.g., modern Microsoft 365/Azure certifications) preferred.
