Data Engineer (Tallinn) (offline)

Veriff protects businesses and their customers from online identity fraud. We check people and documents from 200+ countries and territories, building the infrastructure of trust for the internet. There are 300 of us and we’re looking for a passionate data engineer. You’ll cuddle with data analysis, build toolsets, embrace metrics, invent juicy data-management codes, and create a hearty data-platform infrastructure to make analysis fast and reliable.


Things a Veriff data engineer will do (among other things):

- Build up the data warehousing layer, ETL pipelines, and workflows
- Find the data streams and set up data sources for various metrics in finance, engineering, sales, and product quality
- Create automated data sets from data sources and set up an updating workflow
- Build queries and code to extract information from the data and visualize it
- Explain and document the data models for internal stakeholders
- Build a toolset and platform for it to scale to billions of rows and terabytes of data


We are looking for people who can:

- Operate independently in their role and own it, like a boss
- Show themselves to be an expert in SQL and speak a few programming languages
- Work with orchestration tools like Airflow or Luigi
- Find their way around AWS cloud services
- Work in an international team and speak English
- Use their brain like a wet sponge among ever-evolving toolsets
