WordPress Back-End Developer

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or Web Developer
• 2+ years of experience with PHP (OOP), ideally in a WordPress context
• Strong understanding of WordPress core, including themes, plugins, hooks, shortcodes, and custom post types
• Experience with MySQL, phpMyAdmin, and writing optimized database queries
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript, including AJAX and working with JSON APIs
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap 3+, with awareness of responsive and cross-browser design principles.
• Experience working with Git (branching, pull requests, conflict resolution)
• Strong understanding of  REST APIs and integrating third-party APIs (e.g., payment gateways, CRM tools, analytics)
• Experience creating custom WordPress plugins and extending existing plugins
• Understanding of WordPress security best practices, including sanitization, escaping, and nonces
• Familiarity with ACF, WooCommerce, and multilingual plugins like WPML or Polylang
• Familiarity with Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban)

Will be a plus:

- Experience with Laravel framework

Responsibilities:

- Custom WordPress Development projects
- Improve and expand existing WordPress plugin functionalities
- Creating and Modifying Shortcodes and Widgets
- Working with at least one eCommerce platform (WooCommerce)
- Working with WordPress Page Builders
- Working with Advanced Custom Fields
- Creating WordPress Plugins
- Support the existing code, fix bugs and add new functions
- Cooperate in a SCRUM team with developers and other units (QA, Front-end, Design, Support, etc.)
