Al Engineer/Data Scientist

FLH-Services is looking for an AI Engineer for our client — a forward-thinking UK-based tech company leveraging cutting-edge solutions to drive innovation.

Role Overview
We’re looking for a talented and pragmatic AI Engineer to join  growing engineering team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI and machine learning solutions that integrate seamlessly with our existing .NET architecture.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement AI/ML models to solve business problems (e.g. recommendation engines, predictive analytics, natural language processing, anomaly detection).
• Collaborate with .NET developers to integrate AI solutions into our platform.
• Research and evaluate new AI tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain model pipelines, from data ingestion to deployment.
• Optimize models for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
• Work with data engineers and analysts to understand and prepare data for training and testing.
• Stay up to date with the latest AI research and trends, and identify opportunities to apply them.

Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as an AI/ML Engineer or Data Scientist.
• Strong programming skills in Python (or similar language used for ML).
• Solid understanding of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with deploying ML models into production environments.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools (e.g. MLflow, Kubeflow, Azure ML).
• Understanding of cloud platforms, especially Azure.
• Experience integrating AI/ML solutions into .NET-based systems (e.g. via REST APIs, gRPC, or direct library use).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals—testing, version control, CI/CD, etc.

Nice to Have
• Experience working in .NET (C#).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Background in NLP, computer vision, or deep learning.
• Understanding of data privacy and ethical considerations in AI.
