Data-Savvy Designer with AI and Visualization Expertise

Description: 

We're looking for a designer-first creative professional who is confident working with data, understands the language of analytics, and thrives at the intersection of visual communication, data storytelling, and AI-enhanced design tools. This role is for designers who are not afraid of spreadsheets, who ask questions of data, and who can translate complex insights into intuitive visual formats.

Responsibilities: 

1. Design engaging, insightful visualizations based on structured and unstructured data
2. Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to translate raw data into visual narratives
3. Use modern AI-powered tools (e.g. Figma AI, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Flourish) to enhance design workflows
4. Create prototypes, dashboards, and UX components for data-heavy digital products
5. Advocate for clarity, usability, and accessibility in visual communication
6. Continuously iterate and refine visuals based on data updates and stakeholder feedback

Good to have:

1. Strong portfolio demonstrating data visualization, UX/UI, or information design
2. Familiarity with data concepts (e.g., trends, distributions, dimensions, outliers)
3. Experience with design tools enhanced by AI and automation
4. Ability to understand and ask the right questions about datasets
5. Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines
6. Bonus: Experience in designing for analytics platforms, dashboards, or reporting tools
7. Master or higher degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.
8. Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on research product development.
9. Experience working with and creating data architectures.
10. Experience with a variety of machine learning and deep learning techniques and understanding of their limitations.
11. Advanced knowledge of Python (SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow), and 1 year of experience in advanced NLP algorithms is a huge plus.
12. Good written and verbal English for coordinating across teams and reports preparation.
13. Desire to know more about new technologies and research prospective markets.
14. Develop and implement advanced machine learning models and statistical algorithms to solve business problems and improve decision-making.
15. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within large datasets.
16. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into data-driven solutions.
17. Mentor and guide junior data scientists and data analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
18. Developing processes and tools to cross-validate data.
19. Database management (create automated tools for data structuring, including data cleansing and validation)
20. Development of algorithms for natural language processing
21. Testing and improving existing algorithms
22. Developing custom data models and forecasting algorithms and their validation.
23. Working with advanced data visualization tools, including Chat-GPT Code Interpreter, Power BI, and in-house development tools.
24. Work closely with other teams to monitor the quality of models implementation for commercial use.
25. Documentation and reports preparation for clients and management.
26. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
27. Implement data preparation and feature engineering pipelines for the models
28. Plan and implement algorithms for predictive modeling.
29. Provide continuous improvement of models in production
