Junior L2 Support Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior L2 Support Engineer to join our growing technical operations team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in IT support and infrastructure, with opportunities to grow and learn from experienced engineers. You will be part of a shift-based team providing 24/7 support and ensuring smooth operations of systems and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated issues and requests, taking full ownership of tickets.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and updates are timely.
- Adhere strictly to SLA guidelines, ensuring response and resolution times meet or exceed agreed targets.
- Monitor system alerts, performance, and availability using monitoring tools and dashboards.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on servers, applications, and network components.
- Escalate complex incidents to L3 engineers with clear documentation.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of incidents, actions taken, and outcomes in the ticketing system.
- Assist with routine operational tasks such as patching, backups, and health checks during shifts.
- Collaborate with global team members across shifts to ensure consistent support and knowledge transfer.
- Follow operational procedures and contribute to documentation improvements where needed.
Requirements:
- Strong interest in IT infrastructure, systems support, and operations.
- Understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with CLI.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
- English level - B2 (you likely won't participate in calls with English speakers, but you'll be using written English a lot).
Will be a plus:
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Hands-on experience with cloud service providers.
- Hands-on experience with Grafana/Prometheus.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect โ Associate or similar).
