    We are looking for a Junior Ruby Developer to join our team. This role is focused on improving and maintaining our customer’s back-office application, developed in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, and offers an opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team while honing your technical skills.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the product team to design and implement features;
    • Develop tools to assist with onboarding clients and setting up functional tasks;
    • Maintain and improve the back-office application, ensuring code quality through reviews and implementing unit/functional tests;
    • Work with APIs to manage data collection and integration;
    • Develop new and maintain the existing APIs.

     

    Requirements:

    • Basic experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails (around 1 year);
    • Familiarity with Bootstrap and ideally ReactJS;
    • English level: B2 or above;
    • French will be an advantage.

     

    Nice to Have:

    • Basic knowledge of SQL and Snowflake;
    • Some exposure to Java or Scala (frontend focus) is a plus but not mandatory.

    Requirements

    - 3+ years of commercial hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer
    - Intermediate or higher level of English (grammar / vocabulary)
    - Proficiency in FreeBSD and Linux operating systems
    - Experience with scripting (python, bash, sh)
    - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
    - Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control
    - Experience with MariaDB/MySQL (replication, configuration management, resource provisioning, etc)
    - Experience with ElasticSearch\OpenSearch
    - Experience with Redis
    - Experience with self-hosted DNS solutions (PowerDNS preferred)

    Responsibilities

    - Maintain an on-premises Kubernetes cluster used for development purposes
    - Platform and applications maintenance
    - Create and oversee automated release operations, as well as enhance automated CI/CD pipelines to achieve the desired state and goals
    - Set up and support monitoring and alerting/notification solutions, such as ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Alertsmanager
    - Create and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform code
    - Script and automate system tasks to reduce manual, repetitive routine work
    - Document and maintain build and deployment processes for assigned products and/or tools
    - Use database platforms such as MariaDB to gather and review data, troubleshoot issues, and support application or customer needs
    - Maintain, support, and troubleshoot FreeBSD-based devices and platforms
    - Implement and manage monitoring and alerting for all applications with Prometheus and Grafana
    - Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to install or upgrade third-party software
