ML Engineer / ML Researcher

As a member of our team, you will participate in research & development of solutions in the field of Health and Fitness, using cutting edge machine learning approaches. The position will involve different aspects of R&D including – research, analysis, prototyping and development.  By joining the team you’ll be able to affects millions of users of the world’s most advanced Samsung devices. 
 

Responsibilities:
 

• Drive deep learning R&D projects from design through implementation, deployment into production, and maintenance
• Implement data pipelines (feature engineering, data preprocessing, etc)
• Improving existing architectures
• Research activities and strategic prototyping for future Samsung products
   

Major Requirements:
 

• Deep understanding of a modern machine learning framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit learn)
• Strong background in Python language
• Experience with human pose estimation tasks
• Experience with unbalanced data
• Solid knowledge of math and statistics
• Knowledge of modern architectures
• Good technical English
   

As a plus:
 

• Experience with Computer Vision algorithms such as object detection, object tracking
• Master/PhD in Computer Science or related field 
• Experience in optimizing and integrating ML models into mobile apps
• Experience with Android application development (Java, Kotlin)
• ML/DL contests participation experience (ex.: Kaggle)
• Papers, academic researches
