Enterprise Architect (Azure-AWS migration)

You’ll be part of a team driving the cloud migration of a secure digital surgical ecosystem from Azure to AWS. This platform is at the heart of a next-generation surgical experience – designed to connect data, devices, and teams. The current release includes tools for surgical video management, telepresence, and case planning, already rolled out in select hospitals.

In this role, you’ll:
– Contribute to the architecture and optimization of cloud infrastructure on AWS
– Enable seamless data flow and system scalability across microservices
– Help build a secure, resilient, and compliant environment for critical healthcare applications
– Support the future launch of a developer platform and digital health solution marketplace

Requirements: 

• Proven experience leading enterprise cloud migrations from Azure to AWS, with a deep understanding of both platforms.
• Strong expertise in AWS services, cloud architecture design, and cloud migration strategies.
• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance best practices.
• Excellent understanding of cloud cost optimization and resource management on AWS.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud architecture frameworks and tools used for large-scale migrations.
• Ability to create detailed migration roadmaps and architectural documentation.
• Experience working in regulated industries is a plus (e.g., healthcare, finance).

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the enterprise-level cloud migration strategy to transition from Azure to AWS, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and secure process.
• Develop and implement cloud architecture frameworks that support business goals, scalability, and flexibility across the organization.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and business teams to design and deploy cloud-native solutions that leverage AWS services.
• Establish and maintain best practices for cloud architecture, including security, performance, and cost management.
• Oversee the creation of migration plans, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations while meeting technical and compliance requirements.
• Provide technical leadership to internal teams during all phases of the migration, from planning through to execution.
• Define and implement cloud governance policies, monitoring tools, and processes to ensure long-term cloud health and optimization.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and trends in AWS cloud services and migration tools to recommend improvements.
• Ensure alignment of cloud architecture with enterprise architecture principles and strategies.
