Product Manager

Role overview:

Our goal at CUCollaborate is to be the best in the world at solving problems that make the world a better place. We believe that growing credit union membership, increasing access to fairly priced financial products for people of modest means or those historically discriminated against, and helping credit unions maximize their impact in their communities and member's lives all make the world a better place. CUCollaborate is hiring an entrepreneurially minded product manager to build 0 to 1 products. Our ideal candidate is a strong critical thinker and wants to whet their teeth on bigger problems outside execution – they want the opportunity to be strategic and they have the mental models to equip them to make the leap.

Position Summary:

This position requires experience working with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholder teams to take a product from concept to launch. Product Managers should have basic technical understanding (Can you explain how the products you’ve built operate on a basic technical systems level?). This PM will need to work on 1-2 product lines within our organization and will work across the org to validate or invalidate many hypotheses at play. As a small organization, PMs will need to work directly with senior leadership and should be adept at communicating and managing up. Does this sound like you? We have a world-class team striving to deliver meaningful results for our team and over two hundred credit unions across this country. Our environment is fun and fast-paced, and we are passionate about growing personally and professionally. However, we are more like a professional sports team than a family, as we have high expectations for ourselves, our colleagues, and our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Collaboration – Work closely with cross-functional leadership and the Director of Product to define the product vision and strategy.
  • End-to-End Product Development – Partner with design and engineering teams to bring features from concept to launch, ensuring smooth execution. Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies is a plus.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making – Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to drive product improvements. Define meaningful metrics that separate signal from noise.
  • Continuous Learning & Adaptability – A proactive, self-motivated individual with a passion for learning. Recognize skill gaps and actively seek ways to improve through resourcefulness.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience – 3-5 years of product management experience, ideally in an early or growth-stage startup.
  • Strong Communication Skills – Exceptional written and verbal communication. Ability to tailor messaging to different audiences, balancing conciseness with depth when needed.
  • Language Proficiency – English at an Upper-Intermediate level or above.
