Technical Project Manager - Web-based Visual eCommerce Solutions to $3000 Offline
Job Overview: As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of web-based visual eCommerce projects. Your role will involve managing a team of developers, designers, 3D artists and stakeholders to create seamless, visually immersive online shopping experiences that integrate advanced technologies such as 3D modeling, AR, and interactive product views with eCommerce solutions such as SFCC, Shopify, etc. You will play a key role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of web-based visual eCommerce projects, managing timelines, scope, resources, and budgets to ensure successful execution.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, developers, 3D artists and business stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and key deliverables.
- Technical Understanding: Possess a solid understanding of frontend and backend web technologies and architecture (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WebGL, React, APIs, etc.) and visual solutions such as AR, 3D product visualization, and virtual try-on systems, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with project goals and general principles of eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, SFCC, etc.
- Platform Integration: Oversee the integration of visual eCommerce technologies with popular eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, SFCC) and ensure seamless performance across web and mobile devices.
- Agile Methodology: Manage the project lifecycle using Agile methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements, provide status updates, and address any concerns or feedback. Act as the key point of contact for project-related communications.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure rigorous testing and validation of all visual eCommerce solutions, ensuring high-quality and consistent performance across all devices and browsers.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful delivery. Monitor and adjust project scope, timelines, and resources as needed.
- Client Relationship Management: If applicable, manage client expectations and communication for custom web-based visual eCommerce solutions, ensuring client satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze project performance and provide insights and recommendations for improving processes, technologies, and workflows for future visual eCommerce projects.
- Market Insights: Stay up to date with industry trends in web-based eCommerce technologies, UX/UI design, and visual tools to drive innovation and keep the company’s solutions competitive.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification is preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience managing technical projects in web-based eCommerce. Some experience with 3D grahpics/visualization.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WebGL, React, APIs, architecture) and experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce). Familiarity with visual eCommerce tools and libraries (e.g., Three.js, A-Frame) is highly desirable.
- Project Management Skills: Proven experience managing complex projects from initiation through delivery, including the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) and Agile methodologies.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to foresee and mitigate potential project risks and obstacles.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and engage effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and an understanding of user-centric design, ensuring a polished and seamless user experience for end customers.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, supporting US timezones at least until 2-3pm EST/11am-12pm PST 3-4 days a week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with web-based 3D rendering and interactive experiences.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles for eCommerce websites and digital products.
- Experience with A/B testing and optimizing eCommerce websites for performance and user experience.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for hosting and scaling eCommerce solutions.
