Project Manager (Fintech / VASP)

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in fintech, crypto, or financial services, who can navigate regulatory compliance (MiCA, DORA, ESMA RTS), vendor integrations, and product development. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies, is skilled in structuring and optimizing processes, and can coordinate across legal, IT, and compliance teams to drive the project toward a successful CASP license acquisition and long-term operational growth.
We understand that you have likely not worked with MiCA, DORA, and ESMA regulations before. However, in this role, you will need to navigate and comply with these regulatory requirements. Therefore, we expect you to quickly familiarize yourself with them and apply this knowledge effectively in your work.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of projects related to acquiring a CASP license, including compliance with DORA, ESMA RTSs, MiCA regulations, etc...
Track project scope, timelines, budget, and ensure deliverables align with business goals.
Manage multi-vendor strategy and oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and integrations with key vendors, including KYC/KYB, AML, liquidity providers, custody solutions, fiat providers, and compliance tools (Travel Rule, documentation platforms, etc.)
Ensure the development and implementation of required policies, procedures, and regulatory documents (incl. technical documentation) with auditors and legal/IT teams.
Test sandboxes (front-end and admin panels), assess necessary development scope, and oversee feature enhancements.
Coordinate the hiring and onboarding of SecOps and DevOps specialists.
Ensure quality assurance (QA) processes are followed for all development and integrations.
Assist in the coordination of penetration testing (Pen Test, TLPT) processes and related risk assessments, ensuring effective collaboration between auditors and the internal team.
Facilitate collaboration between developers, security teams, and external auditors.
Organize and oversee the final review process before license submission.
Ensure smooth internal audits and continuous monitoring post-license acquisition.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
2+ years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in fintech, crypto, or financial services.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Understanding of financial and blockchain technology infrastructure.
Ability to structure and optimize processes for efficiency and scalability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
Upper-Intermediate (B2) to Advanced (C1) level of English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cybersecurity compliance.
Previous experience in acquiring financial licenses or working with auditors.
Familiar with regulatory compliance frameworks (MiCA, DORA, ESMA RTS preferred. Could be GDPR, PCI DSS frameworks).
