Solution Architect

PrivatBank is the largest bank in Ukraine and one of the most innovative banks around the world. It holds a leading position for all the financial indicators in the area and comprises about a quarter of the whole banking system of our country.
 

We are looking for an experienced Solution architect to join our team. Our candidate will be responsible for the design of technical solutions, their integration into the bank's (or other client's) system, as well as ensuring that solutions meet business requirements and security, performance and scalability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the overall implementation of the IT project and its integration into the bank (client) landscape
• Provide expert consulting services technical leadership and guidance, ensuring that the development team adheres to architectural standards and practices and often mentor team members in various technologies and methodologies
• Responsible for designing and defining the overall structure of a system or solution. Creates architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team (understanding of technical and business requirements and ensuring that the proposed solution aligns with both).
• Translate complex banking and financial requirements into high-level architectural blueprints, demonstrating a clear vision and understanding of client needs. Drives the solution design by defining/enforcing guidelines and standards
• Foster innovation in design and implementation, ensuring best practices are followed for security, performance, and maintainability
• Ensure the implementation of a homogenous solution satisfying the bank (client) architectural requirements and standards/rules
• Influence key stakeholders across the client’s organization, from IT teams to executive leadership, steering them towards strategic technology investments.
• Remain informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in technology that may affect our clients' competitive landscape.
• Develop a roadmap of improvements for the next 2-3 years
• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, managing technical deliverables and ensuring projects are executed with excellence
• Act as consultant and works with the implementation team, reviews the solution designs to ensure consistent implementation
• Work together with Business and IT stakeholder and acts as bridge between these groups
• Report to the Program Manager and acts a technical/functional expert to prepare and support program decisions
   

Skills and attributes for success

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience, experience in banking industry and finance sector
• Expertise in designing and developing architectural solutions
• Proven experience leading technical teams and projects, demonstrating the ability to mentor and drive high-performance cultures
• Strong foundation in cloud computing, application and cloud design patterns, service-oriented architecture, and microservices design
• Having experience in architecture modeling language and architecture modeling tools is a big plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in IT
• 3+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or similar
• Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or similar will be an advantage
• Experience in the banking or finance industry will be an advantage
• Deep knowledge in: software platforms and technologies (Java, .NET, Python or others)
• Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Principles of distributed systems and scalable architecture
• Integration methodologies (API, microservices)
