ML Engineer - Computer vision (Automotive)

We seek a highly motivated and skilled ML Engineer specializing in Computer vision to join our team. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing image recognition algorithms for quality control in automotive manufacturing.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of algorithm development, from concept to deployment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand quality control requirements, design, and train image recognition models, and integrate them with our production systems. This role requires a strong understanding of computer vision, machine learning, and experience with sensor data fusion.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement image recognition algorithms for defect detection.
• Train and optimize deep learning object detection models.
• Integrate image recognition with sensor data.
• Evaluate and benchmark model performance.
• Research and explore new computer vision/ML techniques.
• Document code, models, and processes.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience developing and deploying image recognition algorithms.
• Strong understanding of deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with image processing libraries (OpenCV).
• Familiarity with sensor data fusion.
• Python/C++ proficiency.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of the German language is a plus.
• Automotive experience is a plus.
