Data Architect Offline

Uvik Software is looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a client project in the e-commerce and service-oriented solutions domain. ❗️In this part-time role, you will design, optimize, and oversee the architecture of modern data systems. You will work with tools such as DynamoDB, RDS, AWS Redshift, Lambda, and Kinesis Firehose to build and refine ETL workflows while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture Design: Create secure, scalable cloud-based data solutions using AWS services.
• ETL Workflow Development: Build and optimize ETL pipelines for real-time and batch data processing.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and enhance the performance of data systems and pipelines.
• Data Modeling and Integration: Design robust data models and integrate diverse data sources while ensuring data quality.

• Collaboration: Work with engineers and stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives.

   

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering, with a strong focus on ETL workflows.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven expertise with AWS services, particularly DynamoDB, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, and Kinesis Firehose.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Advanced SQL knowledge for data modelling, querying, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with AWS tools like Glue, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, database optimization, and scalable data pipeline architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty).
• Experience with tools like Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, or Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
