Product Owner (Limassol/Warsaw/Sofia)

We're looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our team in one of our offices on-site.

 

βœ… Responsibilities:

βœ”οΈ Manage Product Backlog: Formulate the list of backlog items and prioritize them according to critical business objectives;

βœ”οΈ Define Sprint Objectives: The product owner defines the proposed sprint objective, which will serve as the base to determine the sprint goal;

βœ”οΈ Review and Approve the Work Done by the Development Team: The product owner inspects the product increment made by the development team in each iteration, from design preparation to production release verification;

βœ”οΈ Provide Effective Communication to Stakeholders: The product owner is the central communicator between the development team and stakeholders;

βœ”οΈ Backlog Refinement: Ability to prioritize, enhance, and finalize items with the team before sprint planning;

βœ”οΈ Create and Maintain Change Requests Associated with the Product: Primarily an operational task. The product owner will gather and prioritize operational changes and include them in the product backlog for future sprint iterations;

βœ”οΈ Define Acceptance Criteria for Their Product: The product owner must know what they want their product features to achieve. Well-defined acceptance criteria are vital to ensure that the product performs to the expected standard. A/Cs should always be confirmed with stakeholders and will be used as a baseline for QA to test against;

βœ”οΈ Gather Functional and Non-Functional Requirements: The product owner ensures that all requirements are gathered and meet the product manager's expectations;

βœ”οΈ Maintain Requirements: Requirements may be adjusted during the project lifecycle, which is expected in a dynamic environment like ours. If a requirement is adjusted, it must be reflected at the appropriate level (Epic, Story);

βœ”οΈ Verify Requirements: Once the functional and non-functional requirements have been gathered from stakeholders, the product owner will confirm and agree that the requirements are fit for purpose and use;

βœ”οΈ Create and Maintain Epics, Stories, Use Cases, and Edge Cases: Although the creation of these artifacts may be done by another team, the product owner is accountable for the quality of their content;

βœ”οΈ Participate in OKR Planning: Work closely with stakeholders and participate in quarterly OKR planning for the product, including estimating their achievement.


 

βœ… Requirements:

βœ”οΈ Experience: At least 2 years as a Product Owner or in a similar role (Business Analyst, System Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst);

βœ”οΈ Skills Requirements: To execute tasks, technical understanding is required in the following areas:

βœ”οΈ Communication Skills (Proficient in English): Ability to use verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills to create and convey product goals. Reporting insights that allow maximizing product value and addressing issues during the early stages of development;

βœ”οΈ Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze various issues and find workable solutions quickly. Identify, collect, and analyze information, use reasoning to solve complex problems, and make decisions based on logical conclusions;

βœ”οΈ Decision Making: Use technical, analytical, and communication skills to make crucial decisions regarding the product's success and development. After identifying an issue, you must be able to collect and collate all relevant information, find ways of dealing with it, decide on the best option, and implement/evaluate the results;

βœ”οΈ Organizational Skills: Ability to establish and manage processes, adapt them as necessary, and lead productive, inclusive meetings that foster collaboration and decision-making;

βœ”οΈ Leadership: You will lead a team (without being a manager), so you must be able to demonstrate effective leadership techniques. Bring vision to the team, mentor where needed, and negotiate with team members and the wider business;

βœ”οΈ Conflict Resolution: You will act as a mediator if/when conflict arises to ensure that development stays on schedule. You should have the ability to resolve disputes over resources or power dynamics, using active listening skills to consider both sides and then make the decision;

βœ”οΈ Professional Certification: PSPO Level 1 or similar (not required).
