AWS Solution Architect (offline)

Virtuace on behalf of our client — American insurance company is looking for AWS solution architect to join our team.
Client is a global specialty provider of property and casualty insurance that has more than $110 billion USD in total assets along with $17 billion USD in net assets.


Required skills:
— Experience with design and deployment of dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on AWS;
— Experience with Microsoft Windows OS or other Microsoft tools such as IIS, TFS, SQL Server, and MS Build;
— Experience with provisioning services and infrastructure using CF templates specifically for EC2 instances with:
SQL Server and NoSQL databases
EBS volumes
S3 buckets
ELB configurations
VPN set-up
DNS set-up
NAT / Internet gateways;
— Experience with monitoring / alerting on AWS including CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Billing Console, and AWS Management Console;
— Experience with setting up Lambda functions or other tooling to automate back-ups, snapshots, etc.;
— Experience with installing and migrating complex and multi-tier applications to AWS — COTS, custom and open-source;
— Experience with scripting languages for build, deploys and automation — specifically:
CloudFormation template scripting
AWS CLI / API
PowerShell / Perl, Ant
as well as designing CD pipelines and automation using tools like Jenkins, etc.;
— Strong experience with Windows and Linux environments.


Will be a plus:
— Desired would be the following: AWS resource / service design and implementations including:
API Gateway
ElasticCache
Lambda
DynamoDB
DocumentDB
RDS — SQL Server
EC2 / S3.
