Silicon Valley-based profitable B2C product company building innovative mobile solutions for the planet is now looking for a Jr. Site Reliability Engineer.

About project and the role:

Based in Silicon Valley and backed by top-tier VCs is a new mobile innovator delivering exciting new products for consumers across the planet.

The company has a flagship VPN application that drives 30M MAUs. However, there are other applications in the portfolio, some in development and others that they'd like to build!

We are looking for a sharp Jr. Site Reliability Engineer who can work with both the clients and server teams to provide the best possible experience to our customers.

Responsibilities and skill set:

Interpersonal

-Have a lot of positive energy, drive, and a sense of ownership at both engineering and business levels.

-Proactive attitude. Personality with an intention to suggest, improve and directly impact the product positively.

-Ability to work with minimum supervision

-Good communication and reporting skills - both verbal and written. Ability to communicate with people honestly and openly.

-English - Intermediate+

Technical (Server Side and Client Side):

-Ability to write simple to moderately complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, alarms. (common uses Ansible, Python)

-Solid Linux skills. Ability to read server logs and analyze them

Provide 2nd and 3rd level support

-Understanding of networking stack & VPN technologies

-Functional knowledge of relational databases (MySQL preferred)

-Working knowledge of build tools like Maven

-Strong knowledge of how to create and consume REST APIs including knowledge of tools like Charles proxy, Postman, etc.

Java and associated tools - example Appium, JMeter, IntelliJ

Desired Skills

-Knowledge of the Google Play/App Store ecosystem

-Working knowledge of Atlassian family of products for bug tracking and documentation

-ELK stack experience

-IDE: IntelliJ IDEA

-Bug Tracking Tool: Jira

-Experience in Firebase

-Ability to write use cases and describe testing scenarios.
