Project Manager, Global Music Company (offline)

About the vacancy

Our client is a global music and entertainment conglomerate headquartered in the US with offices in over 40 countries. The company has some of the world’s biggest music stars on its roster and provides innovative analytical tools both to their signed artists and to independent musicians.

The client is actively integrating automation, data science, and other modern technologies into its operations and plans to expand the team in various projects, such as processing tools for new artists and tracks, license and rights management, marketing, and A/R activity.

Many projects and applications are built around the concept of a unified data storage that is capable of hosting all sales and consumer data in one place and providing a wide variety of customizable reports to stakeholders at all levels of the company. That helps develop products that best fit the client’s business goals.

We hire people not for a project but for the company. If the project (or your work on it) is over you go to another project or to a paid “Idle”.

Responsibilities
- Managing a software development team
- Mentoring the team and striving for excellence in project delivery
- Enabling communications and information exchange with other teams
- Preparation and review of the release and environment strategy
- Facilitating the preparation of release and sprint vision and goals
- Facilitating pre and post planning meetings
- Creation and maintenance of release calendars and iterative planning cycles
- Providing project status visibility to the team and stakeholders at various levels
- Together with DataArt’s HR team, help team members build and adjust their professional development plans
- Work on constant process improvements to achieve higher satisfaction for the team and greater value to the client

Must have
- 3+ years of project management experience
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience with Agile methodology and Scrum framework
- Experience in using popular project practices and processes: planning, tracking, analysis, risk assessment, etc.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to prioritize, time management skills, work flexibility, client-orientated mindset
- Client negotiation skills (analysis of expectations, collecting feedback about the service, resolving disputes)
- Analytical mindset
- Experience with distributed multicultural teams and foreign clients
- Good spoken English

Would be a plus
- Skills and experience in creating project documentation
- Technical background
