Middle DevOps / Software Intergation Engineer (offline)

Project Overview:
The client is a joint venture of one of the biggest EU Tier1 who focuses on platform development for a wide range of automotive projects (incl. infotainment and cockpit system). The client focus spreads from OSs (Operating Systems), BSP (Board Support Package) enhancements, and hypervisor technology to middleware-level components of automotive products.

The customer believes that successful platform development starts with intensive architectural evaluations and efficient system design in-house, and to achieve this, open-source Linux is employed as a major OS (Operating System) in addition to having a seat in various communities. They also follow market trends and support Android-based platform variants for consumer functionality with the latest releases from Google. We also integrate hypervisor technology into RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems) for multiple domain products such as cockpit systems.


Responsibilities:
✔ Support platform development by simplifying and accelerating boards bring up and integration;
✔ Maintain software release brunches for multi-project setup;
✔ Conduct release management, incl. release planning and stabilization activities;
✔ Maintain Integration environments which include Jenkins CI, test jobs, HW, etc.

Requirements:
◾ 2+ years of commercial experience with DevOps or Software Integration;
◾ Practical experience with Jenkins, Python, and C++;
◾ Linux/QNX/Command Line and Telnet;
◾ Good knowledge of Linux, QNX, or Android operating systems;
◾ Self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and strong team player;
◾ Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken;
◾ Excellent analytical, and optimization skills;
◾ Understanding of Agile methodologies and engineering practices.

Nice to have:
◾ Ability to speak and write in German
◾ Higher Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science/IT or Engineering
