Node.js Engineer (offline) $1000-5500

Day to day responsibilities:

- Developing high-performance back-end systems using Node.js
- Interacting with components written using different languages and technologies as part of an advanced eCommerce system
- Building reusable components and libraries for future use
- Translating user stories and requirements into high-quality code
- Following the principles of test-driven development and writing high-quality tests
- Debugging and resolving bugs
- Reviewing code written by your peers and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.


Your experience should include:

- Strong foundational skills (data structures, design patterns and algorithms)
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JS
- Strong proficiency in API-driven design, particularly REST and JSONRPC
- Experience of the management of sensitive information, including encryption techniques and exposure to technology such as Vault
- Strong experience in test-driven design, and understanding of the main types of test
- Knowledge of the principles of high-performance design (caching, batching, etc)
- Extensive exposure to data-persistence techniques, especially RDBMSs and neo4j
- Knowledge of, and exposure to, cloud-oriented design
- Exposure to containerisation using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
