Technical Writer (Learning Support) (offline)

Job Description
Tools: Adobe Framemaker, Webworks
Technical background: 2+ years in technical writing (software, hardware)
Understanding SDLC and quality processes (should be able to understand a methodology of a programming language); XML, Wiki, HTML, network protocols.
Sharepoint documentation management.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Ability to organize material with best usability practices.
Ability to understand and document the big picture of product interactions and integrations.
A strong understanding of the relationships between cross-functional teams. A willingness and ability to work effectively with and within the processes and systems established by the teams.
Strong negotiation skills.

Job Responsibilities
Write user documentation (installation, configuration guidelines, user guidelines, release notes etc)
Ensure content is clearly written, accurate, with appropriate screenshots, diagrams, and other necessary illustrations.
Work with reviewers and editors to ensure that content is technically accurate, appropriate for the intended audience, and documentation standards.
Perform topic analysis, develop documentation designs, and review with cross-functional colleagues.
Deliver documentation on time and with the highest quality possible.
Become a subject matter expert for the product being documented.

In Globallogic we have a Lab that has worked for big world-wide telecom company since 2002. Globallogic team is responsible for specific direction - maintenance of Classic OSS products. These are core software solutions that are utilized by key US telecom operators (like AT&T, Verizon, etc). We are looking for specialists who will be responsible for keeping existing solutions stable, responding to the client requests, and keeping the services working within existing SLAs.
