Senior PHP Developer (offline)

Our customer is a high-growth consumer mobile company that has raised >$200 million in equity capital since inception. The customer base currently exceeds 25 million monthly active users. The company is at the forefront of a broad range of technologies (mobile, location services, hardware sensors, machine learning, big data, etc) in pioneering its family-centric platform. The company has over 160 employees and counting across offices in the USA. This platform for today’s busy families, bringing them closer together by helping them better sync, communicate with, and protect the people they care about most. We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer with a strong technological background and analytical thinking to participate in the development.

Must have:

Proficiency in PHP language

Good experience in interacting with MySQL database

Experience in Git

Resourceful and skilled in problem-solving with a flexible and adaptable work style

Upper-Intermediate English and better


Good to have:

Familiarity with Node.js

Any cloud- and deployment-related knowledge/experience, such as Kubernetes or Terraform

Experience with CakePHP

Familiarity with mobile software development in iOS or Android


Responsibilities:

Build high-quality, reusable and reliable PHP code

Enhance existing platform for an optimal performance, usability and design

Prepare PHP platform for migrating to Java

Participate in daily stand-up meetings to review current progress and obstacles with direct team

Develop Unit-Tests within the code where required
