    What You Will Do:

    Games Inc. is looking for a hands-on Platform Team Lead to own, evolve, and elevate the platform. You’ll lead a small but mighty team, working closely with the Chief Architect and other key leaders to ensure our platform is robust, scalable, and built with a future-focused approach. The platform supports everything from game deployment and integration to player session management, promotions, reporting, and third-party API connectivity. It’s the silent workhorse behind our games, and you’ll be the one making sure it grows up properly.

     

    Summary of Responsibilities:

    β€” Leading and growing the Platform team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and structure;

    β€” Playing a key role in owning and leading the technical direction and roadmap of our platform;

    β€” Collaborating with the MD, Chief Architect, and Product team to scope and deliver platform features that scale;

    β€” Overseeing integrations with operators, aggregators, and regulatory bodies;

    β€” Prioritising stability, performance, and scalability in everything you build;

    β€” Helping reduce technical debt and modernise legacy codebases where necessary;

    β€” Championing clean code, testing, documentation, and DevOps best practices;

    β€” Fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

     

    Our Tech Stack:

    β€” We’re in the process of modernising our platform. Right now, we’re working with:

    β€” Backend: Java, Typescript, NodeJS, Python;

    β€” Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, CloudFront, Route53), Linux, Docker;

    β€” Databases: MongoDB;

    β€” Monitoring & CI/CD: Github, Jenkins, TerraForm, CAdvisor, Prometheus, Grafana.

     

    What you'll need to have:

    β€” 5+ years of backend/platform experience, including 1+ years in a team lead or senior engineer role;

    β€” Strong experience with a Backend/Systems Language (Java, C++, Rust, C#, GO);

    β€” Broad experience in software architecture, encompassing microservices, distributed systems, event-driven design and networking protocols;

    β€” Extensive experience with NoSQL databases and large-scale database architecture;

    β€” Experience in high-scale backend systems within Gaming, specifically with a slots provider;

    β€” Solid knowledge of AWS infrastructure;

    β€” Comfortable making architectural decisions and justifying trade-offs;

    β€” Excellent problem-solving skills;

    β€” Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and continents;

    β€” Hands-on and practical, you know when to get stuck in and when to take a step back.

    The project is a web application that solves a specific issue in the automotive aftermarket. It brings together parts wholesalers, suppliers, and service stations, transforming the return process from manual and annoying to digital and effective. Also, the product helps all aftermarket stakeholders save on transportation and processing costs. It minimizes the effort required to prepare and handle return cases. The solution reduces the risk of errors and wrong decisions, and, last but not least, it helps reduce CO2 emissions. 

    This solution drastically improves the handling of returns. By digitalizing and simplifying the routine manual processes, it saves users save costs, time, and increases their Customer satisfaction. 

    We work as a Scrum team in a very close collaboration with PO to delivere not only new features, but also our ideas for developing and enhancing the product.
