    👋 About OWN Health

OWN Health is building the world’s first secure AI Health Account — a personalized digital health companion that helps users understand, manage, and improve their well-being. The platform integrates medical data, wearables, biomarkers, nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle into one unified ecosystem to provide preventive, data-driven insights.

We are a Berlin-based health-tech startup backed by leaders from Charité and N26, currently preparing our MVP launch and scaling our AI-powered health agents.

    Overview

As a Prompt Engineer at OWN Health, you will design, optimize, and maintain high-performing prompt systems that power our AI health agents — Medical, Nutrition, Fitness, and Lifestyle — and our Master AI Orchestrator.
Your work will bridge the gap between medical semantics, user experience, and AI reasoning.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and refine prompt architectures for multi-agent health dialogues (context-aware and privacy-safe).
    • Collaborate with product, medical, and data teams to ensure clinical accuracy and empathy in AI responses.
    • Implement structured prompting frameworks (e.g., role-based, chain-of-thought, multi-agent orchestration).
    • Create evaluation loops and test suites to benchmark AI response reliability, personalization, and tone.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
    • Maintain prompt libraries, version control, and documentation for scalability.
    • Continuously explore the frontier of LLM behavior, token efficiency, and fine-tuned domain prompting.

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • 2+ years of hands-on experience designing or optimizing prompts for LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar).
    • Strong understanding of prompt engineering strategies (few-shot, multi-turn context management, dynamic prompting).
    • Background in linguistics, NLP, cognitive science, or AI systems design.
    • Interest in healthcare, wellness, and medical data interpretation.
    • Familiarity with structured data integration (FHIR, Apple HealthKit, wearable APIs) is a plus.
    • Experience with tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI Function Calling, or custom API wrappers.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills — comfortable working cross-functionally with clinicians and product designers.

You Will Thrive Here If You

    • Love combining AI reasoning with human empathy.
    • Care deeply about precision, tone, and ethical communication in health contexts.
    • Enjoy iterating quickly in a fast-paced, ambitious startup.
    • Want your work to directly impact how millions of people understand and prevent disease.

    What We Offer

    • Early ownership and the opportunity to shape the core intelligence of the OWN AI ecosystem.
    • A highly collaborative team with experts in medicine, AI, and product design.
    • Competitive compensation (salary or equity options).
    • Flexible remote-first work setup.
    • A mission-driven culture focused on human health, prevention, and ethical AI.

Here’s your opportunity to join our journey!

    🌕 About Yolk

Yolk is a VC-backed startup (Investors of Anthropic, Groq, Tentsornet)  on a bold mission: To build the best sales departments in the world with elite AI coaching available to every team. Our AI sales coach helps revenue teams catch deal-killing mistakes before they hit your forecast—sharpening discovery, objection handling, negotiation, and more. - Comfortable with Docker, k8s, and GitHub Actions.

🚫 Who This Role Isn’t For

    - Engineers who want to manage people and avoid hands-on building.
    - Corporate-minded architects who expect massive infrastructure and rigid processes.
    - Those seeking the order and stability of big-company environments—priorities here shift fast.
    - Candidates looking for fully remote work - at this stage, we collaborate best in-person.

🌟 Why You’ll Love Working at Yolk

    - Ground-floor ownership: Shape the core AI systems at a fast-moving, venture-backed startup.
    - High visibility & impact: Work directly with the CEO and leadership team.
    - Dual mandate: Ship customer-facing features now, build the ML platform for tomorrow.
    - Upside: Competitive salary, stock options, and the chance to share in our success.
