    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain web applications and service, sprimarily using NestJS (Node.js) and React/Angular.
      Participate in projects built on .NET Core, if applicable.
    • Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following best practices.
    • Design and implement databases and APIs, (microservices / monolith).
    • Support and enhance existing features, as well as build new ones.
    • Collaborate proactively with teammates to ensure high-quality delivery.
    • Take part in project estimation to ensure realistic timelines and workload.
    • Manage the technical debt backlog when required.
    • Work closely with project managers and clients to understand requirements and improve product development.

     

    Requirements:

    • Solid experience with NestJS (Node.js).
    • Good knowledge of React and Angular.
    • Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, TypeScript will be a plus.
    • You must have worked with Cursor AI, Cline, Claude Code, or similar for writing code with AI-assisted coding.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively utilize AI tools for increased productivity.
    • At least 2 years of experience in Web UI and API development.
    • Strong knowledge of REST API implementation.
    • Experience integrating with third-party APIs and services.
    • Good understanding of SQL and MySQL.

    The Role

    We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team and help shape the next generation of our platform. You’ll work on mission-critical systems that support multiple products and customers at scale; from backend services and data workflows to modern frontend applications. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving real-world engineering challenges like scalability, performance, and concurrency, while collaborating closely with product and design to deliver great user experiences.

     

    What You’ll Work On

    • Design, build, and evolve backend services in Go with RESTful APIs
    • Work with Postgres and relational databases, including schema design, migrations, and performance tuning
    • Contribute to code reviews, technical design docs, and mentorship across the team
    • Build reliable background jobs and async workflows with queues and workers
    • Develop and maintain modern SPAs using TypeScript with VueJs, plus state management and design systems
    • Improve frontend performance, user experience, accessibility, and internationalization
    • Deploy and operate applications on Docker and Kubernetes in a major cloud provider (e.g., AWS)
    • Enhance monitoring, alerting, and incident readiness with metrics, logging, and tracing
    • Integrate external services such as payments (e.g., Stripe, Sage) and analytics platforms
    • Collaborate with product and design to deliver features that are intuitive, reliable, and valuable to users

     

    What We’re Looking For

    • 5+ years of senior-level experience in full-stack development, with a strength in both backend and frontend
    • Strong skills in Go and building RESTful APIs
    • Hands-on experience with TypeScript and modern frameworks like React or Vue
    • Solid knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres), including schema design and query optimization
    • Experience with async systems, background jobs, and modern queueing solutions
    • Comfort working in cloud environments with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
    • Familiarity with observability practices (metrics, logging, tracing, error tracking)
    • Ability to design systems for scalability, security, performance, and maintainability
    • Experience integrating third-party services (e.g., payments, analytics) to improve product value
    • A strong sense of user experience and product thinking: you consider the end user, not just the code
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and support teammates

    Qualifications & experience:

    • You are particularly interested in emerging AI tech, LLMs, and generative AI. You follow the news, new developments, and academic research. You are excited about its potential impact on product development in the upcoming years;
    • You are interested in going beyond the technical side. You could work as a consultant, demonstrate an understanding of business and product aspects, and generate product ideas;
    • You understand and can explain how business value could be generated out of the use of AI technologies;
    • You have built ML/AI powered solutions and used available services & tools and/or built bespoke ML models/solutions;
    • You've investigated the practical application of generative AI/LLMs through pet projects and PoCs, exploring ready-to-go products, and you can demonstrate or discuss the output;
    • You have experience in LLMs/SLMs assessment, selection, and fine-tuning for the specific use case;

    • You know what prompt engineering, vector databases, embeddings, multi-stage reasoning, RAG, and MLOps are, and you have had a practical (could be non-commercial) experience with some of the listed things;
    • You enjoy communication and can talk to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Nice to have: 

    • You have previous experience in data engineering;
    • You are active in the growing AI community, attend webinars, events, and meetups, or are interested in becoming active;
    • You have some front-end experience building simple UIs to demonstrate solutions end-to-end or are open to gaining such;
    • You are interested in developing a personal brand through participation in content creation in collaboration with marketing & AI Lab.

    What impact you’ll make

    • Participate in research and development activities by working on Star's internal AI products;
    • Create proof of concepts for our clients and prospects, focusing on applying AI technologies;
    • Monitor and research changes in the AI developer ecosystem and approaches and apply them in practice to develop Star's AI capabilities;
    • Participate in client calls during late sales cycle stages, present technical expertise, and help build solutions; 
    • Act as a subject matter expert on AI to assist with Star's marketing and branding efforts.
