The engagement supports a maintenance assessment and advisory for a legacy mainframe environment built primarily on COBOL, running mission-critical batch and online workloads. The objective is to establish a fact-based understanding of the current application estate and its support model, and to define a scoped, low risk maintenance pilot as the basis for a potential longer term managed services engagement. 

The initial advisory phase is an assessment structured in three stages: a scope-alignment workshop to agree services, ownership, and boundaries; a current-state assessment of the code estate, data, batch/online flows, operations, and ticket history to establish baselines and pain points; and a pilot-identification stage to prioritize candidate use cases and define objectives and success metrics. Skills required:
• 7+ years of software development experience;
• Commercial experience in Node.js (TypeScript, Nest.js);
• Commercial experience in front-end web-development Angular;
• Experience with DBs (SQL/Non-SQL/Document);
• Experience in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using Azure;
• To be familiar with other Azure services like Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Azure AD B2C;
• Familiarity with one of the front-end frameworks;
• Upper-intermediate English is a must.

Responsibilities:
• Participation in system design of the portfolio of applications;
• Leading the technical design and implementation of the solution;
• Developing a brand-new solution through MVP and beyond;
• Collaborate with cross-functional team of architects, developers, business-analysists to implement the vision for the new generation of solution;
• Developing both back-end and front-end sides of a product;
• Work on integration with the internal and external systems as per business needs.

Will be a plus:
• Experience with GraphQL;
• Experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as ARM or Terraform;
• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-based solutions, secure software development practices.
