What We Expect from the Candidate

• Strong experience with Laravel / PHP.
• Confident knowledge of PostgreSQL, including:
  • query optimization,
  • indexes,
  • joins,
  • aggregation logic.
• Experience working with high-load or data-intensive systems.
• Ability to design and maintain scalable backend architecture.
• Experience refactoring existing systems (not only building from scratch).
• Understanding of asynchronous processing, queues, and background jobs.
   

Nice to Have

• Experience with time-series data (TimescaleDB, ClickHouse, or similar).
• Experience with SaaS or multi-tenant systems.
• Familiarity with Amazon Advertising / Amazon Ads API.
• Understanding of analytics platforms and reporting systems.

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to develop and maintain our core API and backend services.

You will work on optimising performance, extending existing functionality, and building new endpoints and algorithms that power our platform.
 

You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders across the business and have a real impact on both the product and company culture in a fast-growing startup.
 

Responsibilities
 

• Develop and maintain an evolving backend application
• Design, stabilise, and optimise RESTful APIs and services
• Support integration between the client application and backend
• Focus on performance, scalability, and code quality
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices
   

Requirements
 

• 5+ years of experience with PHP / Laravel
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs and distributed services
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to code quality
• Fluent English and ability to work independently and within a team
   

Nice to have
 

• Deep knowledge of PHP/Laravel best practices
• Experience with modular or custom frameworks
• Agile experience
• Interest in fitness, health, or medicine
