The Senior Software Engineer is the highest technical resource within the
engineering team, responsible for leading the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of Gruvi’s key platforms. This role ensures technical excellence across projects, provides support to internal stakeholders, and plays a critical role in mentoring junior developers to support the department's growth.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Project Ownership & Development:

● Lead the ongoing development of Gruvi’s core platform, Houston
(campaign management and prediction platform), overseeing future
planning, development procedures, and deployment processes.

● Maintain and enhance supporting projects such as GMDB and CMS by
executing updates, bug fixes, and integrations.

Full-Stack Engineering Execution:

● Deliver both front-end (SvelteJS) and back-end (Ruby on Rails)
development tasks based on sprint priorities.
● Ensure high-quality software output through robust testing (RSpec and
other frameworks).
Technical Support & Internal Collaboration:
● Provide technical support for non-engineering teams (Sales, Ad Operations,
Key Accounts, Design) regarding platform functionality and issue
resolution.
● Collaborate closely with all internal teams to deliver solutions that meet
operational and client-facing needs.
Quality Assurance Leadership:
● Own QA processes across all projects, working collaboratively to maintain and enhance system quality.

Mentorship & Team Development

● Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, coding
standards, and professional development.
● Play a key role in building a strong, collaborative engineering culture.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
As a successful candidate, you will possess a combination of both soft and hard skills to excel in this role:
● 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
● Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails (back-end) and SvelteJS (front-end);
experience with React or similar modern JavaScript frameworks
acceptable.
● Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and REST API design.
● Experience with automated testing (RSpec or similar frameworks).
● Excellent problem-solving and initiative-taking skills.
● Highly adaptable with strong collaboration skills across technical and
non-technical teams.
● Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Skills

● Experience with design systems and responsive design principles.

We are looking for a Design Project Manager to join our in-house design team. You will manage the client's expectations while overseeing the solution's progress and the UX/UI designers' team. We are pursuing the

following industries (but not limited to): Professional Services, including Financial and Accounting web and mobile applications; Digital Services: Human Resources, Remote work, Productivity related systems; E-

commerce; Logistics and Transportation, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Project management & coordination:

• Manages the end-to-end process of projects, including project plan definition, requirements gathering, steps, backlog management, reviews, design process assistance, cross-team collaboration and related

• Coordinates with clients, UX/UI designers and other involved parties to ensure project success

• Facilitating client calls to present project progress, discuss next steps and ensure alignment on goals and expectations throughout the project lifecycle

• Consolidates and manages project documentation

- Planning & monitoring:

• Develops project plans, timelines and budgets and validates them with the leads

• Monitors project progress, timelines and adjusts plans as needed

• Manages project status reporting

• Manages the risks

- Quality assurance:

• Ensures deliverables are completed on time, meet quality standards validated by the leads and meet goals and expectations in close collaboration with UX/UI designers

• Facilitates leading projects’ retrospectives

• Ensures the content-part of the design is clear and meets the context

• Manages further proposals for the projects in close collaboration with leads

REQUIREMENTS
 

- General:

• You have worked with creative teams and clients before (agency or studio experience will be a huge plus)

• You know how to gather requirements in the way the team expects it — it is better to work with creative briefs rather than with ready-made solutions

• You hear the customer, but you do not let them manage your team

- Practical:

• Design creation and project flow understanding — it is important to us that you know how an interface is created and implemented
• Design background and understanding of the UX principles is a HUGE plus

• Can suggest design solutions when the designer is not available (e.g. on the client call)

• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies (Agile and Waterfall) including project planning, goal setting, risk and time management, evaluation and allocation of the resources and more

• Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of SAFe

• Experience in task & time tracking systems

• Experience in board collaboration and mind mapping tools (we mostly use FigJam and Mural)

• Basic knowledge of Figma functionality (we expect that you will be able to navigate, copy and move mockup elements, change UX copy)

• Knowledge of design process methodologies
Will be a plus:

• Understanding of UX Writing principles

• Understanding of WCAG principles

• Basic knowledge of HCD, UCD and other methodologies
