We’re hiring a C++ developer to take over an important internal data pipeline that turns raw map data from external providers into the formats used by our navigation and routing products.
 

This is not a shiny greenfield role. It’s a hands-on engineering job for someone who is comfortable working with older systems, learning a complex process properly, and improving it step by step.
 

The pipeline processes very large data sets several times a year. Most of the time the work is about running and maintaining a process that is already in place. When source data changes or older tooling breaks, the job is to debug the issue, fix it properly, and keep the process reliable.
 

Over time, this person will become the main owner of the map update process.

What this role is really like

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP:

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer with strong expertise in .NET 10, asynchronous messaging via Kafka/RabbitMQ, and high-load data management with PostgreSQL. You will build and evolve core backend services for Enterprise and SME products, ensuring high performance and scalability in a cloud-native environment.

What you will do:

• Develop core functionality: Design and implement robust backend services using .NET 10 (from requirements to production).
• Work with Data & Messaging: Build scalable data layers with PostgreSQL and implement event-driven communication using Kafka/RabbitMQ.
• State & Caching: Optimize performance and manage application state using Redis.
• Cloud Deployment: Work with Kubernetes (K8s) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) to deliver services.
• Maintain Quality: Write clean, maintainable code and ensure stable operation through unit testing and code reviews.
• Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define APIs and technical requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience in backend development with C# / .NET.
• Solid experience with .NET 10: Deep understanding of the framework, its latest features, and performance.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ: Proven ability to design and maintain asynchronous, event-driven systems.
• Strong Database skills: Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL (optimization, ACID) and Redis.
• Infrastructure proficiency: Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Testing: Confident experience with unit testing (e.g., xUnit, NUnit).
• English: Sufficient for reading documentation and technical communication.

Nice to have

• Observability: Experience with OpenTelemetry and the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Prometheus).
• Security & Quality Tools: Familiarity with SonarQube, Snyk, Trivy, or gitleaks.
• GitOps: Experience with ArgoCD for managing application state in Kubernetes.
• Experience working on energy-related software projects is a plus.

Responsibilities:

1. Contacts the candidates via email to obtain required documents.
2. Schedules and coordinates pre-employment screening process, including
- Personal data verification of new joiners and relocated staff in agreed timelines and in line with applicable policies.
- Quality assurance and data review of information obtained.
- Ordering of specific checks through authorized vetting vendors.
- Monitoring and managing of pending cases to ensure progression to completion.
- Communication with candidates to keep them updated on the case progress.
3. Communicates daily with respective teams/departments regarding pending results, alerts, additional requirements, and delays.
4. Works with vendor(s), including:
- Expense approval.
- Regular monitoring that all verifications sent out are followed up on in a timely manner.
- Invoices processing.
- Final vetting reports review and validation.
5. Cooperates with clients (vetting findings escalation and approval process, participation in client's audits).
6. Maintains/updates GES results in internal systems and documents storage.
