Senior Senior NLP Python Developer

We’re looking for a strong Senior NLP & Python Developer to join an innovative AI-powered healthcare product focused on clinical trial automation and protocol intelligence.

The product is a next-generation Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) that uses AI to analyze complex medical protocols (100–400+ page documents) and transform them into structured, executable workflows for research sites and clinical operations teams.

You’ll work on advanced NLP/RAG pipelines, scalable backend architecture, and AI systems that must meet strict healthcare compliance and auditability requirements.

What you’ll work on

• Designing and optimizing RAG pipelines for medical protocol parsing
• Building AI-powered extraction systems using LangChain, LangGraph, LLMs, and VLMs
• Improving AI traceability, reproducibility, and deterministic outputs
• Developing scalable backend services with FastAPI and PostgreSQL
• Working with vector databases (pgvector) and embedding pipelines
• Implementing document classification and extraction workflows
• Enhancing observability, validation, monitoring, and testing
• Supporting validation-ready and compliance-oriented architecture
• Improving performance and scalability of AI/ML infrastructure

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Python development experience
• Strong experience with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, optimization)
• Experience with Docker and microservice architecture
• Hands-on experience with LangChain and RAG systems
• Experience with vector databases (preferably pgvector)
• Strong understanding of embeddings, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration
• Experience with Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ
• Practical experience with document extraction / NLP systems
• Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, fintech, life sciences, etc.)
• Strong architectural and system-design mindset
• Upper-Intermediate+ English

Nice to have

• Experience with GxP or healthcare-compliant AI systems
• Experience with AI explainability and auditability
• Familiarity with Ruff, Poetry, pre-commit hooks
• Experience scaling AI-heavy platforms
