We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst with experience analyzing website data. Our data analyst team analyzes everything on our website, not only for their immediate use but also for how they connect to high-level company KPIs. Our Analysts analyze raw data, not only pre-aggregated data, to extract just the right information and diagnose what is happening on our site.

The role requires understanding web development and how data is gathered, analysis of site usage and a/b tests, data visualization, and how different kinds of data can be presented most clearly, and business KPIs and how they are measured.

But more than that, we’re looking for experienced analysts who can bring us new ideas about how to analyze and extract insights from website data. Our ideal candidates have measured KPIs that we haven’t measured or used new ways to explain user retention, or analyzed features of users' data that we haven’t analyzed.

What You'll Do

• Analyzing the behavior of users on our site and apps:

-Build and maintain dashboards that visualize the usage of single or multiple features and how that usage drives company KPIs.

-Answer questions about site usage or user behavior based on deeper analyses.

• Analyze and track high-level KPIs such as conversion, retention, churn, recurring revenue, engagement, cross-device usage, e-mail and notification usage, and more.
• Communicate with business stakeholders on analysis results, how they relate to business, and what business suggestions result from the analysis.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in a B2C website-related Data Analyst position

About the Role
 

We're building a card-acquiring platform from scratch — and there's a critical layer that sits between engineering and finance that nobody owns yet: how the product actually moves money.

That means merchant and BIN onboarding, scheme processing, settlement and reconciliation, fiat payouts via SEPA and SWIFT, and making sure all of it is safeguarding-compliant. Right now this layer lives across our CTO and CFO. You'll own it — end to end.

No legacy systems. No bureaucracy. No ticket conveyor belt. Just you, a small senior team, and a genuinely hard domain where the decisions you make in the first six months will shape how money flows through the platform for years.

This is not a CFO role — we don't expect P&L, capital adequacy, or FP&A. It's not a Scrum PO or a BA. It's the owner of the financial and payments product layer: someone who digs into the domain themselves, writes specs engineers can build from, and makes product decisions. Disputes/chargebacks, FX, and the merchant-facing portal sit in adjacent roles.

What You'll Own:
 

• Merchant & BIN onboarding — design how merchants get set up in our core processing platform, end to end.
• Scheme processing — get into the mechanics of authorisation, 3DS, clearing and settlement, and own the product decisions that follow.
• Settlement & reconciliation — define how money moves from scheme settlement into our ledger and through to safeguarding accounts. Spec it to the point engineering can build.
• Fiat payouts — own the product side of SEPA and SWIFT payouts through our banking partners, including what we need from each integration.
• Safeguarding — make sure every money movement decision is designed with regulatory requirements in mind, in close collaboration with the CFO.

You'll Be a Strong Fit If:
 

• You have 4–6+ years in product at a payments or fintech company — ideally regulated. You know what that means in practice.
• Card acquiring isn't new to you: BIN sponsorship, interchange, scheme fees, 3DS, PSD2 exemptions — you've worked with these, not just read about them.
• You can take a requirement from a regulator or CFO and turn it into something engineers can actually build.
• You're comfortable driving alignment with a CTO and CFO directly — no product director needed as a go-between.
• You understand how money moves: settlement, reconciliation, correspondent banking, SEPA, SWIFT — well enough to spot when something is wrong.
• You figure things out yourself. You read the docs, you call the counterparties, you don't wait to be briefed.
• You think in flows, not features — you see the end-to-end journey of funds, not a backlog of disconnected tickets.

Contract structure

This role will begin as a paid trial project focused on the successful implementation and launch of approximately 30 priority B2B customer portals.

The initial trial is expected to last approximately one month , although the exact period will depend on portal complexity, customer-data readiness and the agreed delivery plan.

If the initial 30-portal rollout is successful, we intend to offer the successful candidate a long-term contract with responsibility for managing and developing the complete Magento e-commerce function for Chelmsford Safety Supplies.

This is therefore an opportunity to progress from an initial implementation project into a long-term platform ownership and e-commerce leadership role.

Essential Magento B2B experience

Candidates must have genuine, hands-on experience operating Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce within a B2B environment.

Experience with Shopify, Amazon, consumer retail websites, digital marketing or general e-commerce alone will not be sufficient.

The successful candidate must understand the complexities of B2B e-commerce, including:

About Chelmsford Safety Supplies

Chelmsford Safety Supplies Ltd is a growing UK supplier of PPE, workwear and managed safety solutions.

Magento is becoming one of the main revenue channels within our business.

Our platform provides bespoke ordering portals for customers and their employees. These are not conventional retail websites.

Each portal provides an individual customer with access to its approved PPE and workwear range, agreed prices, users, delivery locations, permissions and purchasing rules.

A typical portal may contain approximately 14 approved products and support up to 1,000 users.

We currently have approximately 30 priority portals that need to be fast-tracked. Following a successful initial rollout, the programme may expand to approximately 300 customer portals.

Initial trial project

The successful candidate will initially take responsibility for the rollout of approximately 30 priority customer portals.

The trial project will include:

• Reviewing the existing Magento platform with CSS and Fluid.
• Understanding the existing portal configuration process.
• Creating a detailed rollout plan for the 30 priority portals.
• Gathering and validating customer, product, pricing and user data.
• Configuring portals within Magento.
• Setting up customer-specific products and pricing.
• Configuring users, permissions, delivery addresses and purchasing rules.
• Completing structured user acceptance testing.
• Coordinating customer demonstrations and onboarding.
• Supporting customers through their first orders.
• Identifying technical or development blockers.
• Producing clear weekly progress and risk reporting.
• Documenting a repeatable process for the wider rollout.

Trial success measures

The initial trial will be considered successful based on:

• Delivery of the agreed priority portals.
• Accuracy of customer products, prices, users and permissions.
• Portals passing structured testing.
• Successful customer sign-off.
• Customers successfully placing their first orders.

Long-term opportunity

Following a successful trial, the role is expected to develop into long-term ownership of the CSS Magento e-commerce function.

About the role:

The role will involve designing, developing, maintaining, and improving the company's data warehouse, data pipelines, and analytical data models. You will work with high-volume event data from multiple internal and external sources - supporting a growing analytical layer used for operational monitoring and business analytics.

That means ownership that follows the experience wherever it lives. A flow starts on a mobile screen, continues on the web, and runs through the API behind both, and we want someone who goes all the way down rather than stopping at a repo boundary. That's usually where the quality of an experience is won or lost.

AI is not a slogan here, it's how we build. Our designer shipped the referral page that's live in production today working with an agent. Our CPO built one of our web apps the same way. About the Team and Role

You'll join the Connectivity team — the team responsible for the user-facing services that serve as the entry point into Solidgate's payment system. It's hard to overstate how critical these services are: every millisecond of load time and every suboptimal step directly affects merchant conversion and company GMV, which means the work demands technical excellence and continuous improvement.

The team owns Payment Form and Payment Link (products that let merchants connect to Solidgate and start accepting payments within hours), e-commerce integrations such as adapters for platforms like Shopify, SDKs that make technical integration intuitive and seamless, and Merchant Config, an internal service that stores data critical to payment processing.
