KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

– Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tooling
– Collaborate with development teams to understand application features and architecture
– Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting compliance and security standards from a quality engineering perspective.
– Design, develop and execute automated test scripts for both front end applications as well as APIs / microservices
– Identify, document and track software defects
– Conduct performance testing
– Work across development and DevOps teams to integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipelines
– Actively identifies system functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changes to existing systems, and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
– May document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.
– Function Specific: Strategically design technology solutions that meets the needs and goals of the company and its customers/users.

The Role

This is not a typical CRUD application. You'll work on real-time systems, distributed architecture, and exchange API integrations with guidance from experienced engineers.

What you'll work on:

• Implement exchange API integrations following existing patterns
• Build data validation and transformation logic for market data
• Add monitoring and logging to existing systems
• Write tests for trading logic and data processing
• Debug and fix issues with clear reproduction steps
• Contribute to feature development and system improvements

Tech Stack:

• Backend: NestJS (TypeScript), Node.js
• Architecture: Event-driven, dependency injection
• Database: Redis, PostgreSQL
• Real-time: WebSocket connections, REST APIs

Project Management:

- Manage project development from initiation to closure, within budget, timeline, and quality standards. This involves leading the product development team on the projects that typically last 2-3 years.

- Plan and manage project timelines and milestones, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and objectives are met.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure steady progress.

Team management:

- Manage a web development team of backend and frontend developers, a designer, and a QA engineer. Effectively plan and manage the allocation of team members’ time on projects.

Stakeholders management:

- Manage stakeholder communication throughout the lifecycle of website development projects.

Quality management:

- Ensure that the project’s deliverables meet the defined quality standards and stakeholders’ expectations.
