Project Description 

The client's Global Server Support team maintains and operates the Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud platforms that underpin the organisation's infrastructure across multiple regions. Following the departure of a senior team member, we're looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to plug a capacity gap and keep critical workplace and platform services running smoothly through to year-end. Role Description 

We're looking for a competent, self-sufficient Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the Global Server Support team across both the Modern Workplace (M365) and Azure cloud infrastructure estates. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused — picking up work with minimal supervision and taking routine load off the existing team. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day operational support across Microsoft 365 and Azure, acting as an escalation point for incidents raised through the Global Service Desk in an ITIL-aligned environment. 
• Work across the full M365 / Modern Workplace stack — Exchange Online, Entra ID and Conditional Access, security and compliance tooling — keeping the environment stable and secure.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure
• Strong Microsoft background, ideally having progressed from an on-premises infrastructure route into cloud — this foundation matters more than ticking every individual box
• Solid, hands-on M365 / Modern Workplace experience across the platform; the workplace side is where the team most needs support.
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure — administration, governance (RBAC, PIM, policy, subscription structure), monitoring, and maintenance.

The Role

About the Project
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer to support a Berlin-based logistics technology product company on a data science project focused on building a production-ready MVP.
The project is currently in an early research / proof-of-concept stage. Initial validation has shown that the concept is technically feasible, and the next step is to bring it from research into a usable MVP that can be integrated into the existing product infrastructure.
The solution will use positional / location-based data to identify specific locations and generate insights that help drivers and improve operational efficiency.
This is not a fully isolated greenfield project. The work will be connected to existing internal systems, data pipelines, and infrastructure. Therefore, the ideal candidate should be highly autonomous, senior enough to clarify requirements directly with internal stakeholders, and able to take ownership of the solution with limited day-to-day supervision.

Responsibilities

• Own the data science and ML development work from research validation to a usable MVP.
• Build and improve data pipelines and ETL processes that feed the model.
• Work with positional / geospatial / location-based data.
• Develop, validate, and iterate on ML models that identify relevant locations and generate useful outputs for the product.
• Prepare the model and pipelines to run in production on a scheduled basis.
• Work with internal data, product, and engineering teams to understand available data, infrastructure, constraints, and business requirements.
• Translate high-level product and business goals into technical implementation steps.
• Make technical decisions independently while keeping internal stakeholders aligned.
• Document the solution, assumptions, limitations, and handover materials for the internal team.
• Ensure that the MVP can be further scaled, improved, and integrated into the company’s existing product suite.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or ML Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience building ML models from concept to production or MVP stage.
• Experience working with ETL processes, data pipelines, data preparation, and model input pipelines.
• Strong Python experience and common data science / ML libraries.
• Experience working with large datasets and imperfect real-world data.
• Ability to work with positional, geospatial, mobility, logistics, or location-based data.
• Experience deploying or preparing ML models for production usage.
• Strong understanding of model evaluation, iteration, and practical trade-offs between accuracy, speed, and business value.
• Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day guidance.
• Strong ownership mindset: ability to clarify requirements, identify blockers, communicate with stakeholders, and drive the work forward.

Nice to Have

• Experience in logistics, transportation, mobility, route optimization, delivery, or fleet-related products.
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or similar.
• Experience with scheduled production pipelines, batch processing, or workflow orchestration tools.

In this role, you will

• Manage international tax compliance across a group of companies operating in the EU and US in cooperation with local tax advisors
• Oversee VAT, GST, and sales tax processes for digital products, including SaaS, subscription-based services, and B2C business models
• Coordinate tax reporting, tax payments, and communication with tax authorities across multiple jurisdictions
• Manage CFC reporting requirements and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Analyze tax implications of new products, markets, payment flows, and business initiatives
• Identify tax risks, develop mitigation strategies, and assess the impact of legislative changes on the business

• Strong understanding of VAT, GST, and sales tax in cross-border transactions, particularly within digital services, SaaS, subscription businesses, mobile applications, or B2C models
• Practical knowledge of EU and/or US tax regimes
• Strong understanding of double tax treaties, permanent establishment risk mitigation, transfer pricing principles, OECD guidelines, and the arm’s length principle
• Experience working with CFC structures and transfer pricing matters
• Understanding of IFRS principles related to taxation and tax liabilities
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large volumes of financial data

What you’ll do:

Plan, launch, and optimize PPC campaigns across Search, Display and pMa
Manage advertising campaigns to drive qualified leads, online sales, and ROAS growth Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify high-converting search opportunities on market
Monitor campaign performance daily and optimize bids, budgets, audiences, and ad creatives to improve CPA and conversion rates
Develop and test ad copy, landing pages, and audience strategies through continuous A/B testing
