About the role

You will own the Client Portal(s), the production environment that our clients, from major carbon credit registries to Environmental Project Developers, use to digitize methodologies and run verification workflows on the Hedera network. It is built on the open-source Hedera Guardian platform and our managed Guardian service. You will be the primary engineer keeping it current with upstream Guardian, building client-specific features, and operating it across development, UAT, and production.

This is a hands-on, full-ownership role. You will work across the entire stack: Angular front end, NestJS microservices, authentication, blockchain integration, and the CI/CD and cloud infrastructure that ships it all.

What you will work on

- Build and maintain the Angular portal: complex reactive forms, schema-driven document workflows, comparison views, large-document rendering (Monaco editor), and a polished, branded UI.
- Develop and extend NestJS backend microservices that talk over a NATS message bus and persist to MongoDB.
- Integrate and maintain enterprise authentication: Azure AD B2C / MSAL single sign-on, token lifecycle, automated user provisioning, and HashiCorp Vault for secrets.
- Periodically merge upstream Hedera Guardian releases into our fork, resolving non-trivial conflicts and keeping the portal current (most recently moving the platform up four minor versions in a single sync).
- Work with Hedera Hashgraph (SDK, Guardian Policy Workflow Engine, Verifiable Credentials, IPFS document storage) to support real carbon credit methodologies.
- Own deployment: Docker / docker-compose, Kubernetes manifests, Terraform, and Azure CI/CD pipelines across three environments.

Must-have skills

- 5+ years full-stack engineering, with deep TypeScript across both front end and back end.

• End-to-End Animation: Create fluid character animations, dynamic backgrounds, and eye-catching VFX;
• Tool Mastery: High-quality rigging and animation in Spine 2D and motion graphics in After Effects;
• Visual Style Development: Collaborate with Art Directors to define the motion language for new game themes;

We are launching our entire platform from scratch — fully cloud-native, automated, and built on top of DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.

We are a small and fast-growing engineering team, and we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will own the whole cloud infrastructure and shape the technical direction of the platform.
 

What you will build

• Build our entire AWS cloud infrastructure from scratch following automation-first, HA, and security-by-design principles;
• Design and operate Kubernetes environments; create and maintain custom Helm charts;
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using modular Terraform structures;
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps delivery workflows;
• Build secure networking architecture: VPC, VPN, WAF, firewalls, ingress controllers;
• Set up monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing (Prometheus / Grafana / Loki / Tempo);
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure for PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis, RabbitMQ;
• Define solutions for container registry and artifact management;
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, observability, and security;
• Participate in architectural discussions and influence OptiPlay’s platform engineering strategy.
   

What makes you a great match

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering;
• AWS production experience: VPC, VPN, WAF, firewalls, multi-environment setups, networking fundamentals;
• Kubernetes: strong understanding of internals, Helm, container runtime ecosystem;
• Terraform: modular IaC design, reusable infrastructure patterns, infra from scratch;
• CI/CD & GitOps: GitLab CI, ArgoCD, automated deployment workflows;
• Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, or similar;
• Datastores & Messaging: PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis, RabbitMQ;
• Networking & Proxying: NGINX, HAProxy, Traefik, ingress controllers;
