About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Java Engineer to lead the integration and enhancement of a recently acquired Payment Hub into our existing payments platform — ~232 PSP integrations, a cashier tier, and a set of core services running on EKS (AWS eu-central-1, ARM64) with GCP as a secondary region. You'll architect and build high-throughput backend services on modern Java and Spring Boot 3.x, onboard and mentor mid- and junior-level engineers, drive engineering standards, and partner with DevOps and Architects to deliver scalable, fault-tolerant solutions under real payment SLAs.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of backend Java experience; we run mostly Java 23 with newer services on Java 25, so fluency in modern Java (17+) is required.
• Production experience with Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Cloud, and the wider Spring ecosystem (Security, Data, OpenFeign, Actuator).
• Hands-on Apache Camel for EAI/integration — route design, DSL, and operating Camel under load (this is the integration backbone for our PSP tier).
• Experience with reactive Java — Spring WebFlux + Project Reactor + R2DBC — on latency-sensitive paths.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer who operates at a high technical bar and brings strong ownership across both frontend and backend systems.

This is a high-impact role for someone who not only builds, but drives how things are built. You will take ownership of critical parts of the system, influence technical direction, and help elevate engineering standards through execution.

You will work across the stack to deliver scalable systems and intuitive user experiences, particularly in data-intensive and performance-sensitive areas.

What You Will Do

Fullstack Development (Core Responsibility)

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end features (backend → API → frontend)

  The L2 Support Engineer / Manual QA Engineer is responsible for second‑line support and quality validation of IoT and IIoT systems handling real‑time telemetry data. It involves diagnosing problems across edge and cloud environments, often running on Linux‑based systems. The engineer validates fixes and configuration changes before production release and collaborates closely with development, DevOps, and L3 teams.
  In parallel, the role performs manual functional, integration, and regression testing across UI, API, and backend layers. A key responsibility is validating end‑to‑end data flows from devices and gateways through brokers and backend services to dashboards and reports. The engineer ensures data accuracy, correct aggregation, timestamp alignment, and proper resolution in time‑series data.
  The role requires hands‑on work with industrial and IoT protocols such as Modbus and MQTT, including validation of payloads, connectivity, and reconnection behavior. It also involves using monitoring and diagnostic systems to detect latency, data loss, or anomalies in real‑time systems. Overall, the role ensures system reliability, data quality, and observability while supporting continuous improvement across support and QA processes.
