Jobs at Djinni

About us

UAPP.AI is a product company. We build AI-powered mobile applications used by over 10 million people. The full product cycle stays in-house — from the idea to scale and monetization. Decisions are fast and data-driven, without bureaucracy.

The Role

We run a subscription product across mobile and web. Payments go direct, through our own provider stack — Stripe, Unlimit, Payable, Traspay, SolidGate, Checkout.com, ADN, Apple.

We are looking for a Head of Payments to strengthen the payments direction: onboarding new providers and products, domain compliance, fees, reconciliation and approval rate on rebills.

The role is hands-on: you work alongside the team, not only assign tasks.

What you will do

• Provider onboarding: new PSPs, plus new products with providers we already work with — applications via agents, merchant ID registration, entities
• Domain compliance: preparing the websites we submit for onboarding to meet provider requirements — knowing what has to be stated, how and where (terms, refund and subscription cancellation policy, pricing, product description, contacts, support) and keeping it current after underwriting
• Recurring and rebills: retry logic, soft/hard declines, payment-method update flows, reducing involuntary churn
• Approval rate: audit by GEO, provider and card scheme, routing and cascading priorities
• Commercial terms: negotiating fees and rolling reserves, auditing commissions to see where the money leaks
• Reconciliation and reporting: settlement reconciliation, payment reporting, cost transparency per product and provider
• Analytics: your own dashboards on payment metrics, built with AI tools

What we expect

• 4+ years in payments, at least 2 at Head / Lead level
• A portfolio of several PSPs: Stripe, SolidGate, Checkout.com, Unlimit and similar
• Merchant onboarding: applications, merchant IDs, underwriting
• Understanding of provider compliance requirements for websites: what has to be stated and where
• Recurring payments: rebills, decline handling, churn caused by failed payments
• Approval-rate and fee optimization — with numbers behind it
• Willingness to work hands-on and use AI tools daily
• English B2+

Nice to have

• Mobile subscriptions, IAP, web-to-app funnels
• Negotiating enterprise terms with Tier-1 providers

What we offer

• Fully remote, full-time
• A working stack and a team already running the direction — you join a live process
• Fast decisions without long approval chains
• A product with 10M+ users and a growing subscription business — the result of your work shows on the revenue chart
• Competitive USD-pegged compensation, reviewed on results

Hiring process

1. Intro call with the recruiter
2. Call with the CEO
3. Offer

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a Senior IT Systems Administrator to be a foundational pillar of our IT organization. This is not a ticket-closing role. We need a proactive owner who can build and manage the technology ecosystem that empowers our entire company. You will have the autonomy to design, implement, and refine the systems and processes that make our organization more secure, efficient, and productive.

You will be the go-to expert for our modern, cloud-native tech stack, including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Jamf, n8n, and AWS.If you thrive on automating processes, solving complex challenges, and building reliable, scalable IT systems, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

• Plan & Strategize: Help shape and maintain the roadmap for our corporate IT infrastructure. Develop clear policies and repeatable processes for identity management, device security, application access, and IT support.
• Administer & Automate: Serve as the lead administrator for our core SaaS/IaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Okta Jamf, Slack, Atlassian Suite). Use n8n, scripting (Python, JavaScript, etc.), AI tooling, and native tool automation to eliminate manual work, streamline user lifecycle management, and integrate systems.
• Administering or enabling AI tools (such as Claude or similar) in a business setting, including SSO/SCIM provisioning, usage and spend management, and a security-minded approach to data access and integrations. Comfort using LLMs to speed up your own scripting, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Secure & Optimize: Implement and maintain security best practices across all systems. Manage endpoint security and configuration with Jamf, enforce access policies with Okta, keep our office networks secure and performing well, and monitor our environment for performance and compliance. Help enable AI tools safely by managing access, usage limits, and connector permissions.
• Empower & Support: Build a great employee experience by providing reliable systems and excellent support. Act as a senior escalation point, create clear documentation, and support our IT service desk (Jira Service Management) by resolving complex issues, improving workflows, and automating recurring requests to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate & Deliver: Partner with Security, HR, Engineering, and other departments to understand their needs and deliver technology solutions that help them achieve their goals.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a cloud-first environment.
• Proven experience managing core business platforms, including Google Workspace for productivity and Jamf for Apple device management.
• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently. You can take a high-level goal, break it down, and execute without constant supervision.
• Proficiency in administering the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence), with a knack for creating clean workflows and automations that serve the business, not just the tool.
• A solid understanding of IT security principles, networking fundamentals, and cloud infrastructure (especially AWS basics).
• Hands-on experience with Identity and Access Management, including managing an IdP like Okta.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in a language like Python or JavaScript, and experience building workflows in n8n or a similar tool (Zapier, Workato, Kestra). You default to automating a task rather than doing it twice.
• Practical experience with office networking, including firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN, and DNS/DHCP, and monitoring it with tools like Datadog.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a DevOps culture.

About Us

Smirnov Labs is a fast-growing engineering company founded by an ex-Googler. We help product teams launch and scale quickly by leveraging modern technology and AI-assisted development.

Our projects are diverse — we partner with clients at the earliest stages and own the technical delivery end-to-end.

We're a small, senior-heavy team where every engineer has real impact. No bureaucracy, no hand-holding — just sharp people shipping fast.

This is an outstaff role: you'll be embedded directly with a client's engineering team as part of our delivery group.

The Role
Our client is a US healthtech startup whose AI platform helps dental patients understand, finance and book the treatment their dentist recommended. The product is live with dozens of practices and handles patient health data every day. The team is small, and the technical founder reviews every pull request.

The patient-facing web app is the product. Your first major project is a full redesign of the patient treatment chart. There's no designer: you own the UX decisions, with the founder as your reviewer. You're still full-stack — you take every feature through the Node.js backend and Postgres, not just to the API boundary.

What You'll Do

• Own the patient-facing web app end-to-end — React, TypeScript and Tailwind on the front, Node.js and Postgres behind it.
• Lead the redesign of the patient treatment chart: work out what confuses patients, propose the design, build it, ship it.
• Make UX decisions without a designer, and back them with how patients actually use the product.
• Build mobile-first. Most patients open the app from a text message on their phone.
• Take every feature through the backend: APIs, data models, async jobs.
• Raise the frontend bar — component structure, typing, tests, accessibility — while migrating older JavaScript to TypeScript.
• Treat patient data with care. Privacy and security are part of the job, not an afterthought.
• Work directly with the client's founder in a daily standup. No layers in between.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as part of your daily workflow.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years building production web applications, with a large share of that on the frontend
• Deep React and TypeScript — you know how to structure a large app so it stays maintainable
• Tailwind CSS or a comparable design-system approach
• A strong product and UX eye: you've shipped interfaces people found easy to use, without a designer handing you specs
• Solid Node.js/TypeScript on the backend and working Postgres — enough to ship a complete feature alone
• Mobile-first, responsive web experience
• Comfort reading legacy JavaScript and refactoring it into typed TypeScript
• A track record of shipping without a detailed spec and without process handed to you
• Working US Eastern hours (required): daily 10:00 ET standup and availability through the client's working day
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English — you'll talk to a US founder every day
• Ability to own and drive features independently with minimal supervision

Nice to have

• Healthcare, patient-facing or other regulated consumer products
• Accessibility (WCAG) work you can point to
• Design systems and Figma — you can sketch before you build
• Capacitor or other web-to-mobile packaging
• Early-stage or agency background: greenfield work, shifting requirements, direct client contact

What We Offer

• Competitive salary above market average
• Fully remote work
• Flat structure — work directly with the client's founder and engineering team, no middle management
• Real technical ownership: you make the design and architecture decisions on what you build
• Diverse and technically challenging projects
• Modern AI-powered development workflow
• Small team culture — your voice matters, your code ships
• Paid vacation and sick leave
• Flexible schedule within the US timezone overlap
• Professional and career growth through real ownership, not courses and certificates

How to Apply
Send your CV with a brief note about an interface you redesigned — what was confusing users, what you changed, and how you knew it worked.
